About the Job

The Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2) was established by A*STAR in 2022 to support Singapore's decarbonisation and sustainability goals, through strong international partnerships with industry, public agencies, and academia. ISCE2 is located at Jurong Island.

The Senior Manager / Assistant Director / Senior Assistant Director (Technology‑Business Development – Low‑Carbon Hydrogen) will manage industry R&D collaborations and translation activities across hydrogen and hydrogen‑derived value chains (e.g. production, storage, carriers such asammonia, cracking, utilisation and systems integration). In addition to driving execution, the role contributes to A*STAR’s technical and strategic positioning in low‑carbon hydrogen by shaping translation roadmaps, articulating evidence‑based perspectives to industry and public agencies, and influencing ecosystem‑level directions across hydrogen and hydrogen‑derived value chains.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow industry partnerships and collaborative R&D portfolios in low‑carbon hydrogen, delivering against key performance indicators for industry engagement, investment, and translation outcomes. Proactively scope, support, and manage projects across the innovation and translation pipeline, including securing industry contracts, research collaboration agreements, and public‑private partnerships.

As a Operation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing lift and escalator installation and modernization projects from inception to completion.

Job Description:

1) Develop new business account for lift and escalator.

2) Prepare accurate cost estimates for lift and escalator quotations.

Requirements:

1) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction management, or related field.

2) Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably with expertise in lift and escalator installations with minimum of 8 years.

3) Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource management.

4) In-depth knowledge of lift and escalator systems, components and industry standards.

5) Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations.

6) Proficient in project management and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications.

7) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

8) A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.

9) Possession of a personal vehicle and Project Management Professional certification is a plus.

10) Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and capable of preparing and managing quotations.

Job Scope:

Job Description:

1. Develop, prepare and executing Planned Maintenance schedules with a team of shipyard maintenance staff

2. Check and verify maintenance team daily work done.

3. Lead a team of maintenance staff to upkeep and maintain equipment, machineries, prime movers, cranes (overhead, crawler & gantry etc)

4. Custodian of all maintenance records as per ISO standards

5. In charge and responsible for maintaining the workshops, office buildings, gravel docks, slipways, finger pier are up to health and safety operational requirement

6. Work closely with other departments and support the yard operations (eg, dock lightings, dock gates, welding machines etc)

7. Ensure facility development projects are carried out effectively and complete on schedule within budget

8. Prepare annual budget for tools and equipment

9. Planning, vetting and approving the subcontractors equipment/tools to be used in shipyard

10. Manage subcontractors work in relations to facility upgrades and development works

11. Monitor Hazardous eg, B3 waste generated in the shipyard is handled and disposed in accordance to local laws and regulation

12. Consolidate and make recommendation to Management for purchasing / disposal of assets, (eg, scrap)

13. Coordinate, keep track and verification of rental equipment in support of yard operations.

14. Prepare and present facility/infrastructure maintenance report to Management every monthly.

15. Designated person in charge (notification and rectification) for all facility defects/recommendation reported by shipyard workers

17. This position is required to be full-time based in Indonesia, Batam.
