We are seeking a Technical Director (Software & Applications Manager) to lead the design, development, implementation, and management of innovative cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS) software solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the company’s technical strategy, overseeing software architecture, managing product development, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable software products for retail, F&B, and service industries.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the technical vision, architecture, and development roadmap for the company’s POS software platform.

* Design and oversee the development of web-based and cloud-based software applications using modern software engineering practices.

Requirements

* Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA), Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, System Analyst, software engineering, application development, or technical project management.

* Strong experience in software architecture, database design, and application development.

* Proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and web technologies.

* Experience in developing enterprise software applications, ERP systems, POS systems, or business management platforms is advantageous.

* Knowledge of cloud technologies, API integrations, cybersecurity principles, and software deployment practices.

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

* Ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple development projects.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

* Experience developing SaaS or cloud-based software products.

* Experience with retail, hospitality, F&B, or payment-related software systems.

About the Role:

Reports directly to the Managing Director. You are to serve as Qualified Person and manage a team of engineers to ensure safe structural design and excellent delivery of service to clients.

• Serve as Qualified Person (QP) and responsible for PE endorsement for projects assigned
• Responsible for the profitability and cost efficiency of your team
• Project coordination/management
• Lead projects and attend meetings
• Supervise and inspect construction works.
• Managing and supervising technical/site staff and administrative functions of the projects.
• Provide guidance and manage engineers in the team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of service.
• Check critical design calculations and specifications of the project prior to approving all C&S related documents and drawings produced in the projects prior to submission to regulatory authorities.
• Able to be hands-on to carry out detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works
• Able to be hands-on in preparing design calculation reports and structural drawings for authorities' submissions;
• Able to coordinate with various stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and contractors for projects

Knowledge & Skills:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or its equivalent
• Local design experience in C&S engineering work & conversant with Singapore Building Codes and Practices
• Familiarity with engineering software (e.g. Tedds, StaadPro, Prota, Etab) and submission procedures to regulatory authorities
• Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports
• Registered with Singapore PE Board as Professional Engineer
• Willing to sign as signing QP
