The Team

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent valuation and price testing reviews across multiple asset classes, including:
• Equities
• Credit instruments
• OTC derivatives
• Structured products
• Illiquid and private investments
• Evaluate and validate pricing models, broker quotes, vendor pricing, and market inputs
• Develop and maintain valuation models for complex or hard-to-price securities
• Conduct daily, weekly, and month-end valuation analysis and exception reviews
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Risk teams to assess valuation impacts and market movements
• Support valuation governance, controls, and audit documentation
• Assist with regulatory, financial reporting, and investor reporting requirements
• Monitor valuation policies and ensure compliance with accounting and fair value standards
• Participate in valuation committee preparation and reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve valuation processes, automation, and controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines
• 3–7 years of relevant valuations or product control experience within:
• Hedge Funds
• Asset Management
• Investment Banking
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and fair value hierarchy concepts
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; knowledge of Python, VBA, SQL, or automation tools is advantageous

Requirements

Work you’ll do

Conduct client due diligence during onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with AML/KYC obligations.

Validate and verify KYC information through comprehensive research and cross referencing internal and external databases.

Identify and escalate cases involving politically exposed persons and customers with medium to high AML risk.

Perform enhanced due diligence for customers with higher AML risk ratings, addressing complex compliance issues.

Conduct Source of Wealth review in accordance with regulatory and industry standards and advise on assessment and corroboration gaps; perform subsequent uplift to required standards.

Provide support to the Compliance function by handling ad hoc queries, evaluating sanctions alerts, and investigating transaction monitoring alerts for potential fraud.

Document the rationale for escalating or dismissing sanctions and transaction alerts, stay updated on AML regulations, and co-lead a team ensuring quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., accounting, law) and a professional certification is a plus.

5+ years of experience in KYC, SOW, AML, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or related fields, ideally within consulting, financial, accounting, or legal institutions.

Basic understanding of KYC / AML regulations and money laundering schemes.

Experience providing financial crime consulting to various banking sectors and skills in analyzing, drafting, and presenting reports.

This role will reside in the IT Product Direct-To-Consumer Team, working with IT and business departments across the organization to gather and understand the detailed & complex requirements.

Work with other Product Owners and Scrum Teams members to support the execution of those requirements.

Job Duties:

• Understand the business needs across numerous departments as well as end-to-end IT process.
• Develop and maintain Stakeholder management and Scope management.
• Lead interview sessions and requirements gathering meetings with stakeholder groups in order to perform effective analysis of the business’ needs and requirements.
• Oversee and collaborate with broader project and IT teams to ensure understanding and acceptance of the business requirements.
• Understand current state business processes, identify enhancement opportunities, negotiate changes across business and technology teams, and deliver as-is and future state process documentation.
• Develop and deliver appropriate material to communicate business requirements including, but not limited to, a Backlog of User Stories, Gap Analysis, Data Mapping, Wireframes/Prototypes, User Flows and Report Templates and Requirements Templates.
• Develop and distribute User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plan, including test scenarios, coordinate and manage user acceptance testing.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
