Responsibilities

• Analysis of water-physical, chemical and microbiological parameters

Job Description

We are seeking a Technician to support preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and analyser systems at site. This role is open to mid‑career individuals and career switchers who are interested in developing or continuing a technical career in an industrial or essential services environment.

Candidates will be assessed fairly based on skills, relevant experience, and job‑related competencies, in line with Singapore’s Fair Consideration Framework (FCF). Training and on‑the‑job guidance will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance (PM/BM) for instrumentation and analyser systems installed on site.
• Carry out maintenance, calibration, inspection, and troubleshooting of analysers, including pH, Turbidity, Conductivity, ORP, Ammonia, Fluoride, TOC, gas sensors, and Chlorine analysers.
• Maintain and service field instruments, such as level, flow, and pressure transmitters; pressure, level, flow and limit switches; actuators; solenoid valves; air valves (AV); and flow control valves (FCV).
• Support Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) arrangements and ensure all site works are carried out in compliance with approved permits and safety requirements.
• Read and interpret RIO panel drawings, instrumentation schematics, and technical manuals for maintenance and fault‑finding.
• Attend to ad‑hoc site works and support daily operational requirements as assigned.
• Comply with all safety procedures, work instructions, and site regulations.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, inspections, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in instrumentation, electrical, industrial plant, utilities, facilities management, or related environments is preferred.
• Candidates with less than 2 years of relevant experience will also be considered, especially those with relevant technical training, hands‑on exposure, or strong interest in developing a technical career.
• Candidates with relevant working experience but no formal technical certification will be considered.
• Candidates with technical certification (e.g. ITE / NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma) but limited working experience will also be considered, with training provided.
• Experience in waterworks, water treatment, utilities, or industrial plant environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of process instrumentation, control systems, and field devices.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, panel layouts, and manuals.
• Willingness to work on site and comply with safety and Permit‑to‑Work requirements.
• Team‑oriented, responsible, and safety‑conscious work attitude.

Job scope:

• Maintaining & Executing HVAC & BMS with cGMP, DI, EHS compliance
• Managing Integrated Facilities Management and making sure efficient HVAC & BMS systems maintenance program.
• Dealing with LOTO verification, issue permit & field coordination.
• Preparing for audit readiness and respond to Auditors during audit
• Troubleshooting defects related to HVAC & BMS systems.
• Attending HVAC & BMS system breakdown and arranging IFM for follow up rectification work
• Ensuing proper documents & records & safety for HVAC & BMS systems
• Coordinating with all related stakeholders to ensure timely execution repair & maintenance
• Ability to understand BMS wiring drawing and HVAC air flow drawing
• Strong knowledge in Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system

The successful candidate is to maintain and repair all instruments, plant equipment including DCS IO card.  Keep all equipment in the best operating condition and minimizing equipment breakdown and optimizing cost.

The job includes the following:

• Instrument Engineering: Directs and coordinates fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance, and repair of instruments, DCS and PLC systems.

• Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process.

• Oversees installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as temperature, pressure, level, flowmeters, junction boxes, marshaling and DCS cabinets.

• To evaluate instrument quotation and determine their cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• To evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.

• To lead / support implementation for plant modifications and plant improvement projects.

• To lead / support plant troubleshooting and equipment failure root cause analysis.

• To co-ordinate / implement maintenance activities. This will include multi-disciplinary activities with other maintenance teams as well as external vendors. Includes work planning for routine, non routine work, turnaround and shutdowns.

• To issue / receive Work Permit for maintenance and project activities includes creating and reviewing of Risk Assessments.

• To provide / support engineering solutions for problems related to equipment reliability.

• To maintain / support inspection readiness of the systems to ensure audit compliance with regulatory, safety and engineering standards.

• To use the SAP PM module for maintenance records, maintenance history records and information search.

• To develop / support standard work for technicians and perform Gemba and problem solving to ensure adherence and improvement to the technician standard work.

Requirements:

• ITC/ITE/NTC 2 or 3 on instrument with minimum 5 years working experience in pharmaceutical, petrochemical, chemical or relevant process industry.

• Technician Diploma from Polytechnic will be an advantage.

• Sound engineering knowledge of instrumentation; knowledge with DCS and PLC system will be an advantage

• Must be able to work on shifts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of local codes of practice.

• Effective team player, customer focus, self-driven and the ability to create business solutions.

• Must be willing to provide support after office hours when required.

• Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Good knowledge of cGMP and facility validation for the pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage

Position summary:

A Technician maintains the guestrooms, public space and back of the house areas in good condition to ensure that hotel is functional and well-maintained. These assignments relate to a variety of trades that include but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry.

Job Scope:

·       Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, and furniture, wall covering caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs

·       Considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades in order to visually inspect and detect items needing repair

·       Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently onthe job.

·       Performing the above-mentioned duties requires, experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to80 lbs. as well as the ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often time’s overhead is also required

·       Maintain all tools, equipment and working areas in good and safe condition

·       Respond promptly to maintenance calls in hotel premises

·       Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets

·       Report any health and safety issues observed onsite

·       Assist in hotel operations when required

Requirements:

- Nitec in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relatedfield

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintenance and repairof hotel equipment and systems

- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical,and security systems

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Able to work on shift, weekends and public holidays

What this job involves:

Greasing the wheels of day-to-day operations

You will be involved in the overall upkeep of plant and facilities equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. To do this, you’ll need to regularly inspect all equipment rooms and other facilities, and take note of any problems using the predefined checklists. Also part of your responsibilities is to walk the duty technicians through weekend work plans, and give out technical recommendations, as needed.
