What you'll do:

• Perform production testing using test equipment and measurement instruments

• Record production data, test results, and KPIs accurately in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

For more experienced candidates:

• Lead assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems
• Drive failure analysis, root cause investigations, and continuous process improvements
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, qualification builds, and process validation
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The DP Technician is primarily responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and daily inspections on DP-area equipment, along with other equipment lifecycle management tasks assigned by superior, to ensure stable and reliable equipment operation.

Project Construction, CQV and Startup Phase:

• Support installation, commissioning, equipment start-up activities, and execution of FAT/SAT and IOQ.
• Support commissioning test, punch list closures, deviation/variations resolutions, and change controls related to packing equipment.
• Support for start-up batches, technical troubleshooting, and first-of-a-kind process runs.
• Support technical clarifications, engineering changes, and ensure documentation completion.

Operational Phase:

• Responsible for performing daily preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and routine inspections on DP-area equipment, ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed as planned.
• Responsible for resolving unplanned equipment failures with prioritized rapid response to minimize downtime; coordinate remote assistance with vendors when required.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during equipment operation, document Breakdown Analysis (BDA) and lessons learned for equipment-related problems.
• Provide technical support during internal audits, FDA/EMA/HSA inspections, and client audits.
• Support deviation investigations, CAPA development, change control, periodic reviews, and risk assessments (HAZOP, FMEA, CMMS updates).
• Ensure timely and accurate updates of system documentation (SOPs, Maximo job plans, equipment files).
• Continuously identify and eliminate potential audit risks to achieve audit readiness as a routine practice.
• Other tasks assigned by superior.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 shift rotation.
• New graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher, 2 years or above relevant maintenance experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of GMP requirements and international standards.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Provide technical manufacturing support to Operations and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set-up and execute feasibility studies, experiments, and tests - both creating and following established protocols - to develop findings for the validation and improvement of equipment and manufacturing processes/methods based on engineering principles; analyze results, make recommendations, and develop reports for Engineering review. Operate a variety of test equipment to assess characteristics of the manufacturing environment
• Consult with Engineers, Technicians, and Assemblers on processes to execute experiments and/or production runs. Support related to equipment investigations, testing, objective evidence of product dispositions and rework support work necessary.
• Review documentation and take appropriate actions to ensure that information is appropriately catalogued and follow through to validation and qualification of equipment, including transferring information to appropriate locations, e.g., ECRs, SOPs, drawings, and tooling, for Engineering approval
• Utilize manufacturing software (e.g., JDE, QMS,PLM) to update documentation in systems
• Follow through with development of training and documentation materials, based on collaboration with Engineering, including identifying opportunities for modification and making recommendations, enabling the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes; applying knowledge of processes to devise process changes in collaboration with Engineering
• May lead projects related to new equipment validation, equipment investigations, testing, objective evidence of product dispositions and rework
• Identify potential improvement opportunities and propose solutions to optimize process and/or equipment, e.g., re-design/design of basic equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes, for Engineering review
• Provide coaching and guidance to technicians
• Other incidental duties (e.g. report writing and/or data collection)

Education and Experience:
• Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of previous related experience, such as GMP, clean room, medical device, and experience with automated equipment required

Additional Skills:
• Excellent computer skills required, including experience with MS Office Suite; ERP/MRP systems experience preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English, and good communication skills required
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner
• Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Execute certified assembly procedures in a cleanroom environment following programme specifications
• Perform precision assembly tasks demonstrating technical competency and consistent quality
• Support and guide peer operators on task methods and production standards to maintain quality
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation according to programme requirements
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate task issues and escalate promptly to supervisors to resolve production challenges

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production
