Job Responsibilities:

Requirement:

• Diploma in any discipline or at least 2 years working experience in similar role

Duties
Interpret engineering drawings (2D/3D CAD)

Define manufacturing routes (routing sheets / process plans)

Select machining methods (CNC milling, turning, EDM, grinding, etc.)

Determine tooling, fixtures, and workholding methods

Set cycle time estimates for quotations and planning

Support introduction of new parts (NPI / first article build)

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct business operations in alignment with company policies
• Manage plan changes, including internal and external communications, HR and related technical issues
• Oversee and drive the production team to meet company objectives and KPI.
• Reinforce internal policies, business planning, procedures and quality standards on all practices executed by staff
• Improve manufacturing capability, technologies and problem solving in conjunction with quality & engineering requirement
• Development of workforce plans including competency frameworks to meet operational requirements of organization
• Cultivate safeguarding against unexpected operational incidents that affect business continuity
• Undertake other tasks including administrative duties in connection with the post
• Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supervising in engineering production industry
• Experience in managing a workforce of 50 or more people preferred
• Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering field preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, clients and suppliers
• Efficient project management, problem solving & decision-making skills
• Takes initiative and is assertive/aggressive

Responsibilies:

1. Provide Technical support and update customers on project development timely.
2. Communicate and coordinate with customers and relevant parties pertaining to technical requirements and engineering aspect of the assigned projects.
3. Plan, monitor and control all assigned projects are delivered within the given schedule.
4. Work with inter-departments to ensure commited schedules are met.
5. Assist to prepare and compile contractual quotation for existing and new products as per customers' enquires.
6. Prepare and release job orders/purchase requisition to various departments.
7. Prepare and generate shipment documents for delivery.
8. Provide regular updates on project development timely.

Requirement:

• Minimum NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Able to interpret technical drawing and computer literate.
• Must be result oriented, resourceful and independent.

As the Associate, Manufacturing, Science and Technology, you will be in charge of developing, implementing, and evaluating new production materials, equipment, and technologies. You will conduct research, feasibility tests, and collaborate with vendors and partner functions, requiring technical knowledge, attention to detail, and reliability.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Apply technical knowledge to perform tasks and support project goals effectively
  Develop, implement, and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies before mass production
• Complete manufacturing research and development to solve problems related to production cost and quality, and conduct technical feasibility tests to ensure production efficiency
• Evaluate project capacity for production process design and development, and develop and implement standard manufacturing procedures
• Evaluate production processes to reduce overall costs and determine product quality standards, arranging equipment and tools to support production
• Select and communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and ensure timely delivery within budget
• Engage with partner functions such as Research and Development, commercial, and quality
• Follow procedures with some decision-making authority, requiring job-related training
• Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control
• Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements, contributing to the overall compliance of the organization
• Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• At 2 years of project management experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or related GMP environment
• Has sound technical problem-solving skills, good communication skills,
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• Good understanding of GMP, GDP and other relevant standards / requirements

Job Description:

The Product Family Manager is responsible for leading a portfolio of product and customer development projects, ensuring delivery aligned with business objectives, customer requirements, and engineering excellence. This role provides technical and organizational leadership across multidisciplinary teams, driving execution from concept through manufacturing readiness while developing long-term product and technology strategies.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering expertise, combined with proven leadership in complex product development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio & Project Delivery:

• Own and manage a portfolio of product and customer development projects.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with defined scope and performance targets.

• Proven track record managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects or portfolios.
• Strong technical foundation in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and influence across functions.
• Experience with budgeting, resource planning, and strategic roadmap development.
