Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related discipline)

Job Requirements

• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to ensure the work is in line with project requirement

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Relevant project management experience:

At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of rail E&M system in Singapore transit environment

Relevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system implementation work at revenue stations

Experience in Automatic Fare Collection System upgrade, relocation and system migration projectsin transit environment would be an advantage.

Job Description

The Assistant Project Engineer supports the management and execution of projects—primarily in the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) domain—ensuring compliance with project timelines, budget, safety, and quality standards. This role works closely with and supports the Project Manager throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, contributing to technical, operational, and administrative aspects of project delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Planning

• Support project engineering activities including design coordination, installation, and commissioning works.
• Assist in preliminary design development and budgeting for Design and Build tenders, ensuring accurate estimations aligned with client requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in executing project management tasks, including preparing and tracking project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring smooth workflow execution.

Site Monitoring and Progress Update

• Assist in conducting site inspections, capturing progress data using digital forms, photographs, and checklists, and updating the central project management system.
• Monitor actual versus planned progress, track key performance indicators, and highlight potential clashes or delays to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with drafters, procurement, and other internal teams to ensure site activities align with overall project plans.
• Support the preparation of digital progress dashboards and automated reports for management review and decision-making.
• Identify and report site-level risks, manpower constraints, or material shortages early to support timely resolution.

Stakeholder Management

• Support the facilitation of regular project coordination and review meetings, ensuring clear communication of progress, issues, and upcoming milestones.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate daily and weekly activities.
• Assist in handling on-site queries from clients or consultants, escalating matters to the Project Manager when required.

Documentation Management

• Assist in standardising documentation practices to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Support the preparation of periodic project reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.

• Assist colleagues in adapting to new workflows and ensure consistent use of systems and procedures.

Risk Management

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) works.

• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of HVAC systems, including equipment selection, load calculations, and ductwork layouts.

Roles & Responsibilities

• The Planning Engineer develops & updates the Project Programmes, conducts relevant research, data analysis and coordinates with different disciplines to support the Senior Planning Engineer and Planning Manager in the planning and execution of Projects.

• Candidate must have good understanding of an overall Project life cycle, and it is proficient in the usage of Planning software such as Primavera 6.

Manage and control construction schedule

• Updates revisions of the Master Programme/Schedule and other planning/ control documents to include planned work, actual progress, revised activities, revised sequence, additional works and additional time
• Monitor resources, progress of the works and compile records
• Prepares the daily, weekly and monthly manpower and equipment report for timely submission to the Client.
• Issue regular progress and planning updates to Construction, Engineering and Contract teams
• Compiles, prepares, submits and maintains the Monthly Progress Report.
• Maintains the Monthly Progress Site Photographs/ Videos for record

Perform delay analysis and mitigate deviations

• Carry out analyses of progress and identify delays and their impact
• Monitor work progress against schedule
• Prepare recovery programmes
• Prepare substantiation records and summaries for excusable delays

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil / Building projects
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
