Job Summary

You will lead the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and support of communication and IT network systems, ensuring customer requirements are met. Collaborate in presales, project deployment, and provide technical training and support to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Implement design, installation, testing, commissioning, and support of communication and IT network systems to meet customer requirements
• Participate in presales activities and assist in developing sales proposals to support business growth
• Conduct proof of concept demonstrations with customers to validate solutions
• Plan and execute project deployments including site surveys, installation, testing, commissioning, user acceptance testing, and project closure
• Deliver administrative training to customers on system operation and maintenance for effective usage
• Provide first-level technical support to resolve communication and IT network system issues promptly
• Develop and follow escalation action plans proactively until issues are resolved
• Create and maintain site-specific network and system configuration documentation for post-implementation support
• Liaise with principals and vendors for technical assistance and solution support
• Coordinate scheduling and collaborate with racking or system integration teams as needed
• Perform work at heights and in confined spaces safely when required
• Work outside regular hours, including after office hours, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational demands
• Serve on standby duty to attend to customer sites during and after office hours, weekends, and public holidays
• Work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related engineering fields
• Networking certifications are advantageous but not mandatory
• Experience or knowledge in IT infrastructure implementation and maintenance
• Familiarity with structured cabling systems is a plus
• Experience in project management and supplier/contractor coordination is beneficial
• Proficiency in business writing and use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Knowledge of single line diagrams, floor plan drawings, and software tools like AutoCAD or MicroStation is advantageous

Project Planning & Timeline Definition

• Participate in early project phases (projects, pre-projects, and exploratory studies) by contributing to project planning, gathering requirements, and defining equipment specifications.
• Define equipment and process design activities, establishing clear engineering tasks aligned with engineering and quality standards to ensure timely project delivery.

Equipment & Process Design, Installation and Validation

• Lead the design, development, and integration of equipment in compliance with ISO 13485 and applicable regulatory standards.
• Evaluate manufacturing solutions and ensure alignment with product and production requirements.
• Conduct gap analyses (technology, workforce, and capabilities) to ensure successful transfer to production.
• Perform risk analyses and identify critical success factors for equipment and process implementation.
• Prepare engineering requirements, business cases, and CAPEX proposals for new equipment and processes.
• Develop equipment specifications, manage supplier selection, conduct tender evaluations, and support purchase order awards.
• Lead design reviews (internal and external) and manage investment projects using structured project management methodologies.
• Ensure proper qualification and validation activities, including FAT, SAT, IQ, and participation in process validation activities.

Prototyping & Industrialization Support

• Monitor emerging technologies and equipment developments in the market.
• Develop and implement prototyping capabilities to support R&D and innovation projects.
• Ensure smooth transition from prototyping phases to full industrial production.

Job requirements

• Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent
• 6 -10 years of experience in Equipment and Process Engineering in the medical device industry
• Experience in equipment sourcing & qualification, commissioning and documentation
• Know how in process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and ISO 13485
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities
