Role Description:

The successful Legal Associate will be responsible for attending court for case conferences and hearings, preparing legal documents/contracts, conducting legal research, analyzing legal issues, and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues. The role is a hybrid role and combines both in-office work in Singapore with some flexibility for working from home.

Qualifications:

-Admission to the Singapore Bar

-Proficiency in Law and Legal Issues

-Experience in Legal Document Preparation and possessing strong Analytical Skills

-Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal

-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Key Responsibilities

Litigation & Case Management

• Assist in handling criminal, family, and civil litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and legal correspondence
• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries
• Attend court hearings, mentions, and trials (where applicable)

Client Advisory

• Liaise with clients and provide legal advice under supervision
• Take instructions and assist in developing case strategies
• Maintain strong client relationships and high service standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Review and prepare legal documents, contracts, and agreements
• Ensure compliance with procedural rules and court timelines
• Manage case files and maintain proper documentation

Requirements

• Qualified to practise law in Singapore
• Called to the Singapore Bar (or eligible to be called)
• Strong interest in Criminal Law, Family Law, and Civil Litigation
• Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years PQE (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Prior experience or internships in litigation practice
• Familiarity with Singapore court procedures
