About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer who thrives at the intersection of deep technical defense and high-level trust building. You won't just be configuring firewalls; you will be the guardian of our customer promise. You will own our security certifications, architect our defenses, and act as the technical voice of security when speaking with our global enterprise partners.

How you’ll contribute

● Architect Defense: Design, build, and maintain security layers across our cloud

infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and AI pipelines.

● Own Compliance: Lead the end-to-end process for obtaining and maintaining ISO 27001

and SOC 2 Type II certifications. You’ll ensure our internal processes aren't just "compliant"

As a Staff Security Engineer for Enterprise Security AI, you will serve as a foundational technical leader driving critical enterprise security initiatives. In this role, you will scale our operations by managing complex projects encompassing security consulting, risk management, vulnerability response, and remediation. Your primary focus will be building security capabilities to secure Alphabet’s rapidly expanding use of agentic AI workflows. Minimum qualifications

• 5 years of experience with security leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in building, deploying and reviewing automation for complex security workflows, including use of both AI-driven and traditional automation tools.
• Understanding of offensive security techniques and threats, designing and building security features to address these threats and managing large-scale enterprise security controls rollouts.
