Summary

The Head of Internal Audit provides independent assurance to the Board and Audit Committee regarding the effectiveness of the Group’s governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.

As a key strategic advisor, you will lead the Internal Audit function and oversee Group-wide activities. You will play a pivotal role in identifying emerging risks and driving control improvements across complex commodities trading, supply chain operations, and global logistics environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Risk Oversight

• Strategic Audit Planning: Develop and execute a multi-year, risk-based audit plan focusing on high-impact business risks and emerging global trends.
• End-to-End Process Review: Evaluate controls across trading desks, procurement, logistics, and sustainability to identify operational gaps.
• Control Maturity: Assess the Group’s governance maturity and recommend scalable improvements to SOPs, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
• Risk Identification: Proactively identify exposures in commodity price volatility, supply chain disruptions, cyber threats, and geopolitical shifts.

2. Board & Stakeholder Advisory

• Board Reporting: Act as the primary advisor to the Audit Committee, presenting concise, actionable reports on audit findings and risk themes.
• Strategic Oversight: Provide independent governance advice on major transformation initiatives and corporate projects.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Align audit priorities with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) registers while maintaining strict functional independence.

3. Audit Delivery & Innovation

• Operational Excellence: Lead comprehensive audits across Finance, IT, and specialized Trading operations.
• Special Investigations: Oversee investigations into significant control breaches or incidents, ensuring robust management action plans are validated.
• Tech Integration: Champion the use of Data Analytics and Automation to enhance audit precision and continuous monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Must hold CIA, CPA/CA, or CISA certifications. Additional credentials in Risk (CRISC) or ESG are highly advantageous.
• 8–10 years of experience in Internal Audit or Risk Management. Mandatory exposure to Commodities Trading, Global Supply Chain, or Banking (Commodities desk) is required.
• Deep understanding of hedging, market risks, trade finance, and operational risk within a global trading house context.
• Proven experience implementing technology-enabled audit techniques and data analytics.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence C-suite leadership and the Board.
• High proficiency in technical report writing and presenting complex risk data simply.
• Willingness to travel to regional sites as required for operational reviews.

Team Introduction:

• Internal Audit is a global function responsible for providing independent assurance and evaluating the company's risk management, governance and internal control processes to determine if they are designed and operating effectively.
• The Internal Audit team plans and executes audit projects according to our risk-based audit plan by evaluating financial, compliance, operational, and IT processes and controls. We work with business functions in addressing risks and improving the control environment through timely and comprehensive audit work and tracking of remediation actions until completion.
• We are looking for data scientists and AI developers who will power our mission by building data products that enable and empower continuous auditing and the identification and discovery of risks throughout various verticals.
• You will be deploying your engineering, data analytics and data science skills to be part of the mission to build state-of-the-art analytics products for the audit team.

Responsibilities:

• Model Evaluation & Audit Frameworks: conduct audits on the model lifecycle from training through deployment and monitoring, ensuring compliance with quality, performance, fairness, and risk-management standards.
• Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify model vulnerabilities including bias, fairness violations, harmful hallucinations, security risks, and recommend remediation strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in applied data science, machine learning engineering, or AI research, specifically working with LLMs and traditional ML models and at least 5 years practical experience of data science or analytics from the technology sector, including but not limited to B2C SaaS, media tech, ecommerce, social media platforms, fintech etc.
• Proficiency in frameworks for auditing models, including criteria like robustness, fairness, interpretability, alignment, and compliance. Familiarity with emerging LLM auditing methodologies such as LLMAuditor (probe generation/answering cycles, human-in-the-loop assessments).
• Hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and monitoring large-scale ML models with thorough understanding of lifecycle risks and controls plus strong proficiency in SQL and Python (including libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), data analysis tools, and ML pipeline orchestration platforms.
• Expertise in defining and assessing model performance metrics (accuracy, precision/recall, F1, calibration, robustness, fairness metrics), measurement of hallucination rates in LLMs, bias/fairness quantification, confidence scoring, and stability analyses.
• Extensive knowledge of transformer-based LLM architectures (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, PaLM) and classical ML algorithms (e.g., regression, tree-based methods, neural networks).

We are a single family office based in Singapore and Hong Kong. We are implementing a suite of internal programs already built and tested (currently hosted on Manus AI). These programs support core operational functions across:

• HR: hiring workflows, attendance, performance management, payroll processes
• Finance: consolidated and entity-level reporting dashboards, cashflow tracking, financing monitoring
• Legal: document generation and agreement documentation/recordkeeping
• Investments: portfolio performance dashboard and ongoing deal monitoring

The programs are functional and have been validated using dummy data. We are now preparing to deploy them using full, real-world data. We are seeking a hands-on technical professional to lead implementation, debugging, integration, and ongoing support, with strong judgment around sensitive data.

Role Summary

The Technical Implementation Lead will be responsible for productionizing existing workflows and ensuring they operate reliably with real data. The role requires strong execution capability across implementation, data integration, system hardening, and maintenance, with clear communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production rollout of existing internal workflows and systems, including environment setup and release discipline
• Integrate and maintain data connections across HR, finance, legal, and investment workflows (imports, APIs, automated updates)
• Implement appropriate access controls, auditability, and secure handling of confidential data
• Debug workflow failures and integration issues; improve reliability, performance, and error handling

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing Singapore hub and play a key role in building and enhancing internal business systems, digital platforms, and data applications that support R&D, operations, quality and commercial teams.

This is a key technical role focused on developing scalable software solutions that improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making, and support ongoing digital transformation across the organisation, including internal systems (such as CRM/ERP-like platforms and workflow tools).
