Job Responsibilities ( Entry / Junior Backend Engineer)

Design & Development

• Take ownership of the design, development, refactoring, and performance optimization of core system components, delivering high-quality and maintainable code.

Technical Innovation & Problem-Solving

• Research, design, and implement innovative solutions to address complex business and technical problems, particularly in high-concurrency scenarios.

System Architecture

• Contribute to system architecture decisions, focusing on scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.

Full-Lifecycle Participation

• Actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and system design to testing, deployment, and operational monitoring.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work effectively with local and regional team members, as well as business unit partners.
• Share knowledge, promote best practices, and help elevate the team's overall technical capabilities.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
2. Relevant software development experience.
3. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (operating systems, network principles, data structures, and algorithms)
4. Programming Languages: High proficiency in Java (including JVM internals and performance tuning) or Node.js (including its event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming model). Proficiency in both is a significant plus.
5. Frameworks & Middleware: Proficient with common open-source frameworks and tools such as Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, and Redis.
6. Deep knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimization, and database scaling strategies.
7. System Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining high-concurrency, high-performance, and high-availability systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end recruitment for IT and technology-related positions
• Work closely with hiring managers or clients to understand technical hiring requirements
• Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, and database search
• Screen resumes and shortlist candidates based on technical skills, experience, and cultural fit
• Conduct initial phone or virtual interviews to assess candidate suitability
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate records in the recruitment system
• Prepare and post job advertisements across relevant platforms
• Build and maintain a strong network of IT professionals for current and future hiring needs
• Negotiate salary packages and employment terms with selected candidates
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
• Keep updated with market trends, salary benchmarks, and in-demand technology skills

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in IT / technical hiring
• Strong understanding of IT roles such as software developers, system engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity, data analysts, cloud engineers, and similar positions
• Familiarity with sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, JobStreet, Indeed, and other job portals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong screening and interviewing skills
• Ability to work independently and meet recruitment KPIs
• Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Technology Recruitment Consultant to join our Singapore office. This is a permanent position reporting directly to our Managing Director, who brings over 20 years of technology recruitment experience, including 15 years in Singapore.

As a consultant, you will work closely with existing clients in the financial services and technology industries, and be actively involved in sourcing and placing top tech talent. You will also have opportunities to develop new client relationships, manage job assignments end-to-end, and contribute to business growth.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Work with existing clients to understand hiring needs and take detailed job briefs
• Source and shortlist IT professionals for client roles using various tools and platforms
• Submit high-quality CVs and arrange interviews between clients and candidates
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including offer management and onboarding support
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates
• Collaborate with internal team members and contribute to team success
• Stay updated on technology trends and recruitment best practices

Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in agency recruitment, with a strong track record in placing technology professionals
• Exposure to hiring for IT roles such as cyber-security professionals, data analysts, data engineers, cloud/DevOps engineers, project managers, and software developers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Sound understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process
• Proactive and eager to learn about emerging technologies and the financial services domain
• Willingness to build new client relationships and expand market presence
