Job Summary
Support the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of network infrastructure to ensure stable and secure operations. Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting, optimization, and security tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and report issues or anomalies
- Support troubleshooting of network connectivity and performance problems
- Help maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
- Assist in implementing basic network security measures (e.g., firewall rules, access controls)
- Perform routine checks, upgrades, and maintenance tasks on network systems
- Support incident response efforts by collecting logs and helping with initial analysis
- Work with senior engineers to implement network improvements and upgrades
- Assist in configuring load balancers and managing traffic flow under guidance
- Follow established procedures and best practices for network operations
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve user and system network-related issues
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or currently pursuing)
- 0–2 years of networking experience (internship or project experience is acceptable)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
- Familiarity with Cisco or similar networking technologies is a plus
- Basic knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs)
- Willingness to learn SDN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Entry-level certifications such as CCNA are a plus
