Job Responsibilities:

• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover;
• Progressing all elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist;
• Production of tender specifications and ensuring these align with contractual obligations;
• Mentoring of Mechanical Designers with the intent of securing properly trained personnel for the continual expansion of the company;
• Ensuring the System Supervisor is provided with the current shop and space management drawings, specifications, approved technical submittals and all approved changes in scope;
• Ensuring the System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation;
• Evaluating technical submittals for specification and client requirement compliance;
• Approving Test Packs at each step of construction through to completion;
• Forwarding testing and commission passing criteria to the System Supervisor;
• Evaluating progress claims against work complete;
• Evaluating contractor variation quantity claimed is accurate

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experienced in design and construction of Mechanical services
• Technically competent across the full range of Mechanical Systems
• Fluent in English – Spoken and written
• Computer literate

a. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer, with at least 5 years in supervising works on projects of similar size and complexity, particularly major building construction and deep excavation works.

b. Qualifications:
Must possess a Civil and Structural Engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.

c. Accreditation:
Accredited by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.

d. Responsibilities:

• Lead the C&S site staff to monitor, supervise, and inspect works as directed by CAG, QP(S), QP(Geo), project consultants.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities, organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills.

e. Knowledge:

• Be conversant with statutory codes and site supervision requirements, quality control procedures, construction administration, and submission of progress reports.

f. Skills:

• Demonstrate strong supervision and leadership abilities.

g. Flexibility:

• Must be willing to work shifts.

• Perform SCADA system engineering, configuration, testing, commissioning, and handover activities for electrical infrastructure, power supply, and automation projects.
• Support SCADA integration with substations, switchgear systems, transformers, protection relays, PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, and other electrical equipment.
• Configure and verify SCADA displays, alarms, trends, control functions, communication interfaces, and monitoring systems according to project specifications.
• Review technical drawings, control schematics, single line diagrams (SLD), I/O lists, and system specifications.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), functional testing, and commissioning activities.
• Perform site verification of signals, alarms, status indications, control commands, interlocks, and communication links.
• Support commissioning activities for electrical systems including 22kV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and substation automation systems.
• Troubleshoot SCADA communication issues, data mapping errors, system alarms, and operational faults.
• Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure SCADA installation and testing works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation including test procedures, test records, inspection reports, progress reports, certificates, and client submissions.
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are incorporated into SCADA installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Support project handover activities including preparation of as-built documents, O&M manuals, and technical reports.
• Ensure commissioning acceptance criteria meet design requirements, contractual specifications, and client expectations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project / Commissioning Manager.
