Project Overview

This project aims to develop a real-time blood analysis and diagnostic platform using an integrated microfluidic chip. This platform uses precision microfluidic technology to process and profile the biological activity of white blood cells which is related to a host of inflammatory conditions ranging from diabetes, sepsis to leukemia. The platform developed will enable point-of-care diagnosis of diseases and this project will accelerate the platform from bench to bedside through the development, deployment and testing of clinical samples.

This Engineering position offers a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between laboratory discovery of new technologies and real-world implementation of clinical deployment and testing. 

Responsibilities

The engineer is responsible for the design, prototype, manufacturing and testing of the medical device. This involves the use of with computer-aided design prototyping, setting specifications and assembly of mechnical/electrical components, testing and deployment of device for field testing.

Responsibilties include:

- To work closely with a team of clinical, mechanical/software engineers and data scientist for the medical device design and prototyping. Gather feedbacks on prototype designs by end-users.

- To Validate designs by analysing data gathered from component or system level testing. Use benchmarking techniques to characterise component and device performance.

- To ensure proper documentation of design history files and standardization of data storage for reports, presentations, technical and administrative documents.

- To source for vendors and components to ensure manufacturability and cost of medical device.

- To support the team for maintenance of equipment, inventory and purchases.

Requirements

- Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering with at least 1 years of experience in hardware prototyping and/or microfluidic operations.

- Rapid prototyping experience in areas such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, injection molding, microcontroller/microprocessor programming and relevant skills in embedded system.

- Prefered experience in commercial manufacturing, R&D project management and hardware testing/certification.

- Excellent debugging skills and strong ability to root cause, isolate and solve software/hardware system issues.

- Fluent in C++, Python (3.X) and relavent coding languages for software-hardware integration.

- A desire to deliver a quality and innovative medical diagnostic product that improves many people’s lives.

- Good communication and managing skills are important to work with colleagues efficiently in addition to creativity to solve problems and find improvements on products and processes already in place.

Job Description

• Carry out full time supervision for construction of structural works in accordance to BCA approved structural drawings in compliance to Building and Control Act and regulations
• Check that requirements of specifications in regards to materials and workmanship are complied with the project specifications by the Builders. Ensure high quality control for all civil and structural as well as architectural works to be carried . This includes sample tests for materials and workmanship etc
• Watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications
• Check line and level and layout of structure during erection and that intentions of contract drawings are adhered to
• Check structural slab beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed

Asimov is Menlo's flagship open source humanoid robotics initiative. We are building every layer of the stack, from precision mechanical structures, injection molded plastics, and die cast components to actuators, sensors, control hardware, firmware, and AI.

The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will own the conception, CAD modeling, and industrialization of humanoid components across the full body. You will translate early concepts into robust, production ready designs, guide prototype builds, and partner with suppliers to ramp tooling and volume manufacturing. This is a high ownership role where your design decisions will directly determine how Asimov moves, holds up, and scales.

What You'll Do

• Develop detailed 3D part and assembly models across plastics, sheet metal, die cast, and composite materials in CATIA or equivalent CAD tools.
• Drive rapid prototyping by overseeing 3D printing, CNC machining, and initial fit check assemblies, iterating quickly from concept to physical hardware.
• Perform tolerance studies, FEA, and kinematic simulations to validate stiffness, strength, and lifetime requirements across joints and structural members.
• Create accurate production drawings with GD&T annotations and critical inspection call outs for manufacturing and QA handoff.
• Conduct DFM reviews with contract manufacturers and tooling partners, refining designs for cost, cycle time, and quality at low to medium volume.

The Role
We’re looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer to architect and scale the infrastructure that powers fleets of humanoid robots operating across the world. You will work across the full stack of robotics infrastructure, from low-latency streaming and cloud simulation to large-scale training and telemetry pipelines. You’ll work directly with the founders and technical leadership to design the systems that let hundreds of robots learn, share, and act as one.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and scale distributed systems that handle petabytes of sensory, telemetry, and control data across cloud and edge environments.
• Design data ingestion and streaming pipelines connecting fleets of robots to the cloud in real time (video, LiDAR, joint states, audio).

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep expertise in distributed systems, networking, or data infrastructure.
