Responsibilities:
- Understand Contract Specification.
- Understand Marine Class and Regulatory Requirement, Piping, Special Item and Valve Material Specification.
- Understand P&ID and Piping routines.
- Prepare and update Piping and Valve Material Specification, Piping Wall Thickness Calculation and Piping Insulation Specification.
- Good knowledge in preparing Technical Specification, Material Take Off (MTO), Material Requisition (MR) and Material Datasheet for Piping Bulk Material (Pipes,Fittings and Flanges), Valves and Piping Special Items.
- Review and comments technical proposal from vendor.
- Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for procurement.
- Good knowledge in understanding the certification requirement for piping material, especially for compliance with Classification Society requirement as well as the respective project regulatory.
- Monitor procurement process to meet Project Schedule.
- Review vendor certified Document (VCD).
- Close monitoring of general arrangement drawing for piping bulk material, valves and piping special items to ensure the correct component dimension in 3D model and 2D drawing.
- Close monitoring of P&ID revisions and 3D model report and follow-up with any design changes.
- Monitor piping bulk material, valves and special items usage, surplus material and warehouse balance utilisation.
- Interface with vendor, other discipline lead, procurement, production, commissioning.
- Attend factory acceptance test (FAT) if required.
- Able to perform piping material / procurement engineering related activities with no or minimum supervision
Requirements:
- Possess strong knowledge of piping design and materials.
- Hold a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrate good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Have at least 5years of relevant experience in piping engineering or similar related activities.
- Preferably experienced in offshore or shipyard projects, including rig or shipbuilding.
- Preferably experienced in FPSO projects, covering both topside and marine scopes.
