Electrical Engineer (Retrofitting / A&A Works)

Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate electrical works for major retrofitting and A&A projects.

• Review electrical drawings, technical submissions and method statements.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Singapore electrical standards and WSH requirements.

Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future

• Accountable for the execution of the S&OP plan of the unit she/ he is in charge of, including the monitoring of plant and provides (daily) instructions/ orders to the shift teams
• To review and update of start-up, shutdown and operating guidelines or instructions and procedures.
• To initiate and apply multi-disciplinary process design and control strategies in relation to processes and systems
• To find and resolve different process limitations and optimising production to ensure high utilisation and availability
• Responsible for catalyst / absorbent etc. follow up and lead a team to i.e. change out absorbent
• To monitor and optimise the day-to-day consumption of chemicals, additives and/ or any other consumables for the assigned units
• Responsible for the first line troubleshooting, optimisation and engineering support of the assigned unit, including preparation of correct reporting of several daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports like; Utility reporting, KPI reporting etc.
• Responsible for optimisation on assigned unit’s contribution to the CPEI, Carbon footprint and energy efficiency of the integrated refinery
• To participate in safety assessments like i.e. HAZOP, PHA and also be the investigation lead of Incidents/Near miss investigations
• Prepares, reviews and improves assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures including its accuracies
• Responsible for the Operating Manual for the assigned units in charge
• Lead as change manager in small optimisation/ improvement projects
• To review interlock bypass forms
• Liaison of Operations to 3rd parties/suppliers

Responsibilities in other processes

• Lead as appointed Operations Engineering representatives at plant investment projects (PIPE), PHA studies and other studies / projects
• Responsible for verification of invoicing variable production costs by tracking consumption of utilities/ chemicals of assigned units
• Responsible for improving the competency, knowledge retention of the Operations team with respect to the technology or technical aspects of the assigned units etc.

Your role in our team

• Project Development and Management: The Development Engineer is responsible for the early phases of refinery capital investment projects. This includes conducting technical and business evaluations, preparing investment concepts, and leading pre-study and feasibility studies. The ultimate goal is to finalize the project scope for definition and execution decisions.

• Project Lifecycle Responsibility: The Development Engineer's accountability extends throughout the entire project lifecycle. This encompasses overseeing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up planning, ensuring a smooth transition from development to operation.

• Project Support and Improvement: The Development Engineer  shall focus on developing his/her expertise in leading investment project development according to Neste PIPE model.
