Job Description

■Operation (40%)

•Create 2D & 3D parts and assembly drawing for all MGS model using solidworks.

•Support on part catalog and operation manual making

•To perform engineering technical calculations.

•Review project (order and R&D) inquiry and summaries design change points on component level to support Engineering BOM creation.

•Support on line quality issues to come out with short and long term plan for improvement.

•Communicate, coordinate and work with internal departments such as sales, production, services across subsidiaries on meeting project specifications and deadline.

•Communicate with external parties such as supplier on design of radiators and fabrication jobs.

•Assign and monitor progress of ESV engineer on standard design drawings

•Issue ECO (Engineering Change Order) for improvement/ design error

■Project Management and R&D (50%)

•Prepare project schedule and maintain the timeline of project.

•Prepare technical specifications requirements, engineering design drawings testing methods, testing criteria and products delivery schedule.

•Prepare technical documents for internal and external parties.

•Prepare presentation material and conduct meeting to review DRBFM across HQ and sales, production, QA departments.

•Review and validate new products are designed in accordance to the specification requirements through factory acceptance test conducted by suppliers.

•Review and compilation of test results in accordance to testing criteria. Managing the TVA calculation.

•To conform with company environmental practices.

Job Requirement

•Diploma in mechanical engineering.

•4+ years of experience in product design and manufacturing experience.

•Strong background in sheet metal design, acoustics, thermal management, and structural analysis.

•Proficiency in CAD (either SolidWorks/Creo/NX)

•Experience with PDM (optional)

•Knowledge of fabrication processes, coatings, and corrosion protection standards.

• Channel improvements and lessons learnt established from various forums, eg. TPM Forum, Excursion Review, etc.  into global area forums to decide on the standards for deployment, implementation and audit.

• Design suitable matrices for each process area so that improvements impact the 4 pillars.

• Create a library of area level BKMs for Equipment & Process Engineers to search for standards involving the setup of Equipment & associated processes.

• This library must also serve the purpose to feed-forward area level BKMs to TD for process development & HVM for improvement work that will impact the 4 pillars. 

PM SOP Standardization

• Align the PM Procedures across the Micron network for shared workstations.

• Integrate procedures into a system that allows Engineers & Technicians to access procedures, key recordables & measure PM Success from a tablet/notebook.

• Tie matrices to measure the effectiveness of globally aligned PM procedures.

• Put in place change management for changes to existing procedures & new PM procedures.

• Prepare the work force to move up the value chain from performing PM/CM work to achieving tool to tool matching, improving the capabilities of tools & executing tool/lot dispositions in a standardized method.

SEAL System BKM deployment & sustainment  

• Implement system level BKMs in process areas globally.

• Ensure the fan out of SEAL system BKMs of high criticality and value that impact process areas through the site Task Force Teams (TFT) and local MA Engineers.

• Put in place a process to enable the speed and flexibility to transfer area level BKMs when they are ready.

• Perform one-time standardization audit as last step of TFT implementation and monitor, sustain, and control the system BKMs that impact unit process areas for the duration of one year. 

Demonstrate Leadership

Your role in our team

• As an experienced Process Engineer, you lead cross functional team to drive continuous improvement of the processing capability and availability of PreTreatment (PTU) and Heat Treatment (HTU) units

• Responsible for the Basis of Design (BOD) and Unit Specific Tolerances (UST)  and defining the Operating Limits for PTU and HTU

• Responsible to build up the competency of PTU and HTU processing technologies in the organization

• Conduct test runs, resolve bottlenecks, develop solutions and manage capital investments in the early phases of the project lifecycle.

• Support operations in troubleshooting major process challenges and investigating high risk non-conformances.

• Improve process safety by participating in risk assessments, managing actions development and implementation.

• As Singapore refinery representative in the global technology team. Sharing and execution of best practices and common initiatives from Rotterdam and Porvoo refineries.
