Job Description

We are looking for an individual with great Civil/RC Structural experience for the position of Site Supervisor cum QS for our daily onsite operations. The candidate will work directly under the construction and project manager, managing clients, workers and all other stakeholders throughout the construction phase of various RC structural works.

Reporting to the Construction and Project Managers, the candidate will be responsible for constructing, managing and coordinating site-related works with the client, RE/RTO, and the workers to perform the RC work in the strictest compliance with the drawing, specification and contract documents. This role is focused on working in the field, managing our own workers, read and understand drawings, plan works, progress, materials and machinery, and will report directly to the Construction and project Manager. This candidate should understand all aspects of RC structural construction in relation to executing work on-site.

It is expected that the candidate will be detail-oriented and can manage and communicate with workers very well. There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” works, reading and understanding the RC structural drawings, guiding the workers on construction, coordinating with contractors in the field while installing all aspects of the project RC structural works. The candidate must have robust EQ skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the workers, the managers, the RE/RTO, and subcontractors etc. of all tiers and vendors and immediately establish trust and confidence in his/her ability.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the Company in the utmost professional manner while constantly embracing honesty, integrity, and truth
• Directly guiding and managing workers in executing the construction works
• Reading, understanding the RC structural drawings very well, be able to produce bar bending schedule (BBS), plan and arrange manpower and various materials, be able to levelling and setting out the works

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, structural systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedule
• Attend daily job site safety meetings and perform weekly project safety audits

• Coordinate with on-site Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) and Resident Engineers( REs) for all required inspections and work verification
• Develop look-ahead schedules and assist the Construction managers in long range planning
• Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and various contractors during construction
• Work closely with the project and construction Managers to lead logistics of all works and materials
• Working knowledge of structural systems and how precast, in-situ and structural steel are sequenced in a building and construction project
• Log and post all civil and structural changes and as-built information on field drawings.
• Ensure all information is current and communicated with the project team
• Liaise with the client, supervisory engineers, inspectors and relevant staff
• Knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD to produce construction/ shop drawings when necessary
• Ensure that all work done are adhere to relevant quality documentation/records

Qualifications

• Must possess BCSS certificate
• Independently produce method statement and risk assessment etc. documents
• Civil/Structural construction engineer / supervisor or foreman background with basic quantity surveying knowledge. Good at RC structural works, rebar schedudling, formworks fabrication and installation
• 5+ years of Civil/RC Structural site supervisor experiences with hands on ability to teach workers
• Experience in building temporary civil, drainage, earthworks, RC structural works, site office, laydown area etc.
• Structural or civil and engineering working knowledge of plans, engineering drawings, BBS, specifications and schematics associated with the reinforced concrete structural trades for permanent works or temporary onsite facilities
• Computer literacy. Significant experience with Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and other computer based tools
• Strong leadership and excellent communication and organizational skills in managing workers and various stakeholders

• Comply to ISO standards and Quality systems of the company
• Forecast/ establish stock levels of spares and consumables to meet manufacturing capacity within allocated budget
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance OI to standardize equipment practice
• Train/ mentor AEs to through OJT and continually upgrade their technical skills to cope with technological changes
• Recommend improvement to enhance capabilities, reliabilities or cost saving
• Participate in CIT team/ task force to optimize equipment performance and COO
• Start-up new equipment to support production ramp, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment.
• Documentation of Corrective Action and Best-Known Methods for equipment to allow more efficient troubleshooting
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area.

More about you:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering Diploma in Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• 1-3 years relevant experience innthe semiconductor manufacturing environment. Fresh Degree holders are welcome to apply.
• High Vacuum maintenance experience
• Basic semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment/ process knowledge
• Able to interpret electrical/ pneumatic schematic drawings
• Team Player

Responsibilities

• Responsible for set-up and optimization of new device qualification, engineering lot processing, process data gathering and reporting
• Monitor and improve device yield performance and process SPC charts
• Investigate and troubleshoot production downtime and quality issues to provide lot disposition on outlier lots
• Perform engineering report and documentation such as 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, CP, Process Specification, Work Instructions, etc
• Implement continuous improvement program (CIP) to support yield and cost improvement, including developing systems for workflow management
• Facilitate training of manufacturing personnel on operating procedures and process specification
• Work closely with inter-department to improve process and equipment performance and capability
• Coordinate and communicate with customers for any process engineering related matters
• Setup systems and NPI requirements, handles qualifications and engineering activities

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in any Engineering Discipline
• Working experience in semiconductor assembly manufacturing or process engineering and pre-assembly processes (Backgrind, Laser Marking, Laser Groove, Wafer Dicing) is an advantage
• Knowledge in SPC, DOE, FMEA, OCAP, Control Plan, WI and Process Specification
• Clear and effective communication with customers, suppliers and cross department
• Able to multi-task and support ad-hoc projects in process and equipment related activities
