This role is highly stakeholder-facing, requiring close collaboration with traders, quants, product managers, and global technology teams to deliver scalable, low-latency trading solutions.The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Java and distributed systems with strong ownership, communication, and leadership capabilities to drive platform evolution and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a primary interface between business stakeholders (traders, quants, product owners) and engineering teams to translate trading requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of electronic trading platforms, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with global teams across regions (APAC, EMEA, US) to ensure aligned delivery and platform consistency.
• Drive end-to-end ownership across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements to production support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to implement and enhance trading strategies (e.g., VWAP, TWAP, POV) and execution workflows.
• Provide production support and incident management for critical front-office trading systems.
• Lead and mentor senior engineers, fostering engineering excellence and best practices.
• Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
• Influence architectural decisions and contribute to long-term technology strategy and roadmap.  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong Java expertise (Java 8–21) with experience building high-performance, low-latency systems.
• Proven experience in electronic trading systems, preferably in Equities or FX.
• Strong understanding of:  Order lifecycle & execution workflowsMarket data processingFIX Protocol and event-driven architectures
• Experience designing distributed, scalable systems using microservices and Kafka-based architectures.
• Solid knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning (e.g., latency optimization, bottleneck reduction).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/OCI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

Responsibilities ( Site Reliability Engineer | SRE Engineer)

High Availability and Stability Maintenance of Application Systems:

• Includes daily monitoring, alert response, emergency handling, on-call duties, regular system health checks, and performance optimization.

Compliance and Secure Access Construction for Application Systems:

• Ensure operational design, processes, and data management comply with relevant privacy and data protection laws.
• Ensure compliance with full auditing and regulatory checks and provide auditing materials as required.

Change and Release Management:

• Best practices for application system changes, including change control, version management, and rollback strategies, while ensuring operational duties during release windows.

Automation and Infrastructure Optimization:

• Drive operational automation by designing and implementing automated tools and processes, ensuring resource allocation is optimized and supporting business scalability.

Other Operational Practices and Work Arrangements:

• Providefeedback and suggestions for business architecture design and continuously produce operational technical documentation.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree or above; a degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
2. At least 2 years of experience in cloud services products and application operations.
3. Familiar with cloud platform deployment and management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
4. Experience with automation operations and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Familiarity with CI / CD processes and tools (e.g Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Job Requirements: 

1. Preferable Master's Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, Automatic Control, Operations Research, Biology, Physics / Quantum Computing, Neuroscience, Statistics or a related field. 

2. Familiar with common machine learning and deep learning algorithms and keeping track with the latest SOTA implementations. 

3. Strong programming skill in Python, C / C++, proficient in mathematical / statistical concepts and exceptional coding skills 

4. Hands-on experience with AI / ML frameworks be familiar such as Caffe, PyTorch, TensorFlow, MxNet etc. 

5. Have rich project experience in machine learning and deep learning, be familiar with common algorithm models, such as CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer, ViT, etc., and be able to improve and innovate models according to actual problems. 

6. Experience in familiar the design, parameter tuning and optimization methods of neural network models is a plus 

7. Experience in model compression and in the transplantation and optimization of deep learning forward inference on various platforms, including NPU / GPU / DSP / ARM on mobile platforms and CPU / GPU on server platforms is also a plus. 

8. Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability, able to independently undertake the research and tackling of complex problems and team spirit are highly valued traits.
