About the Role

As a CBRE Mechanical Engineer to support commercial and industrial facilities. You will oversee mechanical systems performance, lead preventive and corrective maintenance, support project upgrades, and ensure regulatory compliance for building M&E systems.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and maintain mechanical systems: chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs/FCUs, ventilation systems, compressors, and mechanical plant equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, inspections, vibration checks, flow/pressure testing, and mechanical system diagnostics.
• Maintain HVAC systems, piping networks, valves, ducting, and mechanical equipment serving commercial/industrial buildings.
• Support mechanical requirements for industrial machinery, production equipment, and process utilities.
• Execute PM/CM/CBM programs and update work orders using CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with SCDF Fire Code, WSH regulations, and local mechanical/maintenance standards.
• Assist in shutdowns, retrofit works, system upgrades, and testing & commissioning.
• Maintain mechanical drawings, O&M records, reports, and asset documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, tenants, and facilities teams.

What You’ll Need:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in aviation, commercial buildings, industrial buildings, or mission critical facilities is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of full package of M&E systems - HVAC/ACMV, P&S, Fire/Security system etc, as well as mechanical plant equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiar with CMMS, BMS, and mechanical safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain and continuously improve Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (QEMS).
• Support organization-wide compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 13485 standards.
• Act as Document Control Coordinator to ensure effective control, distribution, retention, and updating of QEMS documentation.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; coordinate and support external certification, customer, vendor, and regulatory audits.
• Promote awareness and implementation of quality, environmental, OH&S, and information security policies and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with information security controls and information handling requirements throughout the information lifecycle.
• Drive E‑Kaizen, EMS, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
• Support Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Environmental Management Programs (EMP).
• Report quality, environmental, safety, and information security incidents and risks to relevant internal stakeholders.
• Monitor changes to applicable standards and regulations and advise management accordingly.

Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or quality assurance; experience in supplier management and product qualification is an added advantage.
• Degree in Chemistry, Material Engineering or related Engineering
• Experience in a QMS or similar engineering role; exposure to electroplating or manufacturing environments is an added advantage.
• Lead or Internal Auditor experience for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, SPC) is an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
