Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Lead and oversee all engineering activities for residential and condominium developments from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and project handover.
Serve as the company's principal technical authority, providing expert guidance on engineering, construction, and design-related matters.
Develop and implement engineering strategies, standards, policies, and best practices to support business objectives and project delivery excellence.
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value engineering initiatives across all projects.
Design & Technical Management
Manage and coordinate consultants, architects, structural engineers, M&E engineers, and specialist design teams.
Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, and construction methodologies.
Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company specifications.
Lead technical reviews and resolve complex engineering challenges throughout project execution.
Project Delivery
Monitor project progress and provide technical leadership to ensure delivery targets for quality, cost, and schedule are achieved.
Support project teams in resolving site issues, design discrepancies, construction challenges, and technical risks.
Collaborate closely with project management, procurement, contracts, and construction teams to optimize project performance.
Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure successful project completion.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all engineering works comply with applicable regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Promote a culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence across project teams.
Support the implementation of quality assurance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with government authorities, consultants, contractors, utility agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Represent the company in technical meetings, authority submissions, inspections, and project coordination activities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships to facilitate smooth project execution.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers, project engineers, and technical personnel.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Support talent development, succession planning, and recruitment initiatives within the engineering function.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent professional accreditation is highly preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in residential, condominium, or mixed-use property development projects.
At least 8 years of experience in a senior engineering leadership role.
Proven track record in delivering high-rise residential and condominium developments from design through completion.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design coordination, regulatory requirements, quality management, and contract administration.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors in a developer or construction environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with BIM, value engineering, and modern construction technologies will be an advantage.
