We are seeking a highly experienced senior scientist with expertise in structural biology, particularly in protein chemistry and cryo-EM. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving research on mycobacterial enzymes and multi-subunit membrane-embedded complexes, contributing both technical expertise and leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct research on the 3D structure determination of mycobacterial enzymes and large protein complexes.

• Set up and perform cryo-EM and cryo-ET experiments, including data collection, processing, and structural analysis.

• Provide mentorship to students and junior researchers in the lab.

• Communicate research findings effectively and contribute to collaborative projects.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, or a related field with at least of years of relevant experience.

• Extensive technical experience in protein chemistry, protein engineering, and 3D structure determination of large/multi-subunit membrane enzyme complexes.

• Proven expertise in cryo-EM experiment design, execution, and data interpretation.

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring students or junior scientists.

About the Role
We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level ML Engineer to join the Model Engineering team. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working hands-on with computer vision models and understands models as systems to be trained, evaluated, improved, and optimised. You will work across the model lifecycle, including dataset preparation, architecture development, model training, evaluation, performance analysis, and optimisation for real-world computer vision applications.

Responsibilities

• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate computer vision models for classification, object detection, segmentation, pose estimation, and action recognition.
• Improve model performance through architecture enhancements, custom heads, backbone modifications, loss functions, and training strategy optimisation.
• Design experiments, conduct ablation studies, benchmark new techniques, and analyse model trade-offs.
• Investigate edge cases, debug failure cases, and improve model accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.

Requirements

SHINE Programme Management and Operations 
•             Support the coordination and execution of SHINE research programmes in close collaboration with the Programme Director, principal investigators, researchers, and stakeholders.
•             Monitor programme deliverables, milestones, KPIs, and reporting timelines across SHINE projects and research thrusts.
•             Support coordination across SHINE research thrusts and facilitate interactions among principal investigators, researchers, industry partners, and funding stakeholders.
•             Coordinate and consolidate programme reports, including mid-term reviews, annual reports, final reports, presentations, and programme updates.
•             Support budget monitoring, grant utilisation tracking, expenditure reporting, fund requisitions, and budget virement processes.

Requirements
