The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition CLIC is a research collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and hosted by the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) that aims to develop neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning. Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) is the coordinating platform for translational research in Asia. Its mission is to advance medical knowledge of lung cancer and improve health outcomes of patients through clinical studies and scientific events. ATORG operates under National Cancer Centre Singapore.

We are looking for a Research Fellow who will provide critical support in the design, writing, and operational documentation of multi-country investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and translational oncology studies under the ATORG platform. This includes drafting study protocols, scientific reports, stakeholder materials, and contributing to consensus meetings and academic outputs.

Project Overview

The DiSTAP programme addresses deep problems in food production in Singapore and the world by developing a suite of impactful and novel analytical, genetic and biosynthetic technologies. DiSTAP is one of the five Interdisciplinary Research Groups (IRGs) of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART).  The research engineer will join an interdisciplinary team of chemists, engineers and plant biologists in the development, modification and characterization of functional conjugated polymers with unique optical properties that could potentially be used for cell imaging. These novel tools enables optimal crop production and rapid development of plants suitable for high-density farming and revolutionalizes urban farming strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support the DiSTAP nanosensor team in the development and validation of novel single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT)-based sensors, with a primary focus on Covalent Organic Framework microneedles (COF-MNs) and nanosensors for nutrient sensing.

1.  Environmental Data Platform

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on  Interface Engineering for low-dimensional materials based device applications under a project on NRF Investigatorship project:  Interface Engineered Ferroelectric 2D Materials for Artificial Synapses and Neuromorphic Computing”.

The main responsibilities of the position include One postdoc position is available at the Surface and Interface Lab (Prof. CHEN WEI’s group), National University of Singapore. The project focuses on the interface engineering for 2D materials based device and related electrical and optoelectrical characterization for memory and neuromorphic computing application.

The selected candidate will work together with a team comprising experts in MBE growth and STM characterization, device fabrication and related electrical and optoelectrical characterization, and surface reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools. 

Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline: PhD in Physics/ Chemistry/ Materials in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. 

Skills: Excellent English writing and communication skill, team management skill, expert in surface and interface science, surface science techniques of low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy, q-plus AFM, MBE growth of 2D materials, 2D materials interface engineering, and multi-physics understanding at the integrated device level.

Experience: Extensive research experience and publish at least 3 - 5 first-authored papers on Tier I journals and excellent lab safety management skills and experience.
