The NCCS Division of Medical Oncology is looking for 4 Research Coordinators to join the BREXINT study team: Breast Cancer Exercise Intervention, a nationwide randomized study examining the effect of prescribed exercise (versus control) on cancer recurrence and survival in early breast cancer patients, as well as the behavioural tools that help make exercise a habit.

The Research Coordinator facilitates patient recruitment onto the study from all participating public hospitals in Singapore (each Research Coordinator is assigned 1-2 hospitals to cover), manages the patients’ appointment schedules, conducts questionnaires, inputs data onto spreadsheets, presents updates at regular meetings, liaises with other study team members, namely: doctors, nurses, clinic operations, physiotherapists, exercise trainers, exercise physiologists, academic psychologists, health economists, digital app collaborators.

Key Responsibilities

1.Patient Recruitment

Work closely with doctors and nurses from DMO and Breast Surgery to recruit eligible patients for BREXINT

• Identify and recruit patients who are eligible for BREXINT
• Explain BREXINT: objectives, study procedures, visit schedule, use of the digital app and wearable

2.Arrange appointments for patients

• Work closely with Clinic Operations to book appointments
• Convey this information to patients via the digital app or text messaging, phone calls, email
• Assist with patient queries/requests

3.Conduct questionnaires

• For patients who cannot do the questionnaires on the digital app

4.Clinical data management

• Extract and collate patients’ clinical data

5.Administrative and operational work

• Present updates at regular Study Team meetings
• Liaise with digital app collaborator re: data collection, data verification, troubleshooting issues with app functionality, wearables

Main Requirements:

• Degree in Life Sciences or a related health‑science field (or equivalent).
• Prior patient‑facing experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Prior lab experience (blood sample processing) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Descriptions:

• Support the Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in implementing, monitoring, and enforcing the Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS) in compliance with statutory requirements, LTA safety standards, and project specifications.
• Assist in the administration, control, and verification of the Permit-To-Work (PTW) system, ensuring all works are properly risk assessed and authorised prior to commencement.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, surveillance, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to WSH Act, subsidiary legislations, LTA safety procedures, and company safety policies.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure effective implementation of Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and control measures.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator (PI), study team members and Family Medicine Development (FMD) team to ensure the successful timely completion of the research. The CRC’s principal role will be to work in general practices such as project management, recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis. The CRC may be required to liaise with personnel from partnering institutions in the course of his/her work.

The NCCS Division of Medical Oncology is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join the Supportive Care, Integrated Treatment, And Rehabilitation to Improve Outcomes in Gastrointestinal Cancer (STRONG) team.

The Research Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patients enrolled in the STRONG program. The incumbent serves as the first point of contact for patient enrolment, guiding patients through the onboarding process and ensuring they receive essential programme information. The role is responsible for administering questionnaire surveys and conducting functional assessments at designated timepoints, enabling timely monitoring of patients’ functional status and treatment progress. Through care coordination and health coaching, the coordinator helps patients navigate their treatment journey and ensures they receive holistic, continuous support from the multidisciplinary team.

Key Duties:

1.Programme Management

• Lead the programme to achieve programme’s objectives
• Collaborate with gastrointestinal cancer team, including doctors, nurses and allied health partners
• Create and revise patient education materials.
• Manage programme’s publicity plan to ensure visibility 

2.Patient recruitment

• Work closely with DMO doctors/ APN to recruit eligible patients into STRONG program.
• Identify and recruit patients who are eligible for STRONG program
• Explain the STRONG program, including its objectives, assessments, and available support services
• Provide patients with essential information (STRONG e-booklet) and contact numbers (APN, CIH, NCCS hotlines)

3.Patient assessment

• Administration of validated questionnaires and functional assessments. 
• Monitor changes in patients’ functional status and coping

4.Care coordination and health coaching

Assist with patient’s queries (in person and through text messaging platforms like WhatsApp, SMS, calls and emails), including but not limited to:

• Clarifications on appointments/ chemotherapy schedules

5.Administrative work and others

• Input all assessment data and patient communications into Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM).
