The Research Analyst will also contribute to academic publications, helping advance and disseminate knowledge to the broader research community.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the integration of technical outputs with urban planning and policy context, ensuring insights align with real-world governance needs and planning workflows.

IMH is looking for intermediate operations research data analysts/scientists who are passionate about healthcare analytics to expand the hospital’s analytic capabilities.

Successful candidates will be imbedded in an experienced analytics team that will be overall responsible for managing projects and their deliverables. They will work with an existing team of seven data engineers and biostatisticians to improve the utility of information derived from existing databases. Job Requirements:

• Min. Degree in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics, Business or related field, candidates with at least 2 years' experience in commercial markets preferred

Job Description

Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst – Economic Evaluation

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst. Rapid population ageing in Singapore underscores the need for effective interventions to support healthy and active ageing. This project aims to evaluate the impact of interventions (e.g. Age Well SG and related community-based programmes) on health outcomes, functional status, healthcare utilisation, and wellbeing among older adults. The study will draw on longitudinal and administrative datasets and will involve quantitative analysis and policy-relevant modelling to inform ageing and healthcare policies in Singapore. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Duties may include, but are not limited to: (1) providing programming support for research projects; (2) conducting statistical and econometric analyses using longitudinal and administrative data; (3) managing large and complex datasets; (4) evaluating programme impacts on health, frailty, and healthcare utilisation; (5) supporting cost and policy modelling; (6) conducting literature reviews; and (7) contributing to scientific manuscripts, reports, and dissemination of findings.

The appointed candidate should: (1) hold at least a bachelor’s degree; (2) be proficient in Stata or R; and (3) have training in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, quantitative social science, public health, epidemiology, or a related field. Experience with programme evaluation, longitudinal data analysis, or microsimulation modelling is preferred. Familiarity with C++ is advantageous but not required.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to work with large datasets and have strong knowledge of quantitative methods. Strong analytical thinking and work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent written and spoken English is required, as the candidate will engage with stakeholders and contribute to reports and publications.

The position is for one year but can potentially be extended. The grade of appointment will be accorded based on the candidate’s academic qualifications and years of relevant experience.
