The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. Job Responsible:

We are looking for a Research Assistant/Associate who will work primarily with Assistant Professor of Sociology Shannon Ang, School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University. The Research Assistant/Associate will work on a project which seeks to understand patterns of social connectedness amongst future and current cohorts of older adults, by integrating data from various cohort studies. The Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) invites applications for a Research Assistant (RA) position to work on a new project as part of the Marine Climate Change Science (MCCS) Programme with the National Parks Board Singapore. This 4-year project hosted by EOS aims to quantify historical, modern and future sedimentation in Singapore’s coastal habitats and involves a variety of field, laboratory and desk-based analyses to achieve the project deliverables.

The successful applicant will be supporting the project team in a sediment monitoring programme to provide empirical measurements of vertical accretion from selected sites including mangrove forests, intertidal mudflats and seagrass meadows. Candidates with experience researching coastal environmental change involving field, laboratory and desk-based analyses are welcome to apply and demonstrate how their experience is relevant to the project.

The successful applicant will work collectively within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists at EOS and colleagues at NTU helping to produce scientific output for reports, publications, and conference presentations. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join a project that integrates classical machine learning and AI with quantum computing on graphs datasets, with applications in drug development. The selected candidate will work on a research project of Duke-NUS AI + Medical Sciences Initiative (DAISI), which serves as the School’s hub for Academic AI and Data Science. This project will be conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Biomedical Data Science (CBDS) at Duke-NUS Medical School and the Centre for Quantum Technologies at National University of Singapore (NUS).

The selected candidate will perform a range of research activities focused on developing new AI algorithms and hybrid classic-quantum approaches for drug discovery under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Research and Development (R&D) Director or Assistant Director or Senior Manager to lead the development and enhancement of consumer products for the Gain City portfolio.

This role will oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through testing, sourcing, certification, and launch. The R&D Director will lead cross-functional product project teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and market-relevant consumer products, including new product introductions and enhancements to existing product ranges.

The ideal candidate is analytical, strategic, resourceful, and has a deep understanding of the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement R&D strategies, procedures and techniques, and architectures that align with the company's goals and objectives.

• Identify and propose innovative research and development projects

• Manage the R&D and product development budget, ensuring cost efficiency, value engineering, and margin optimisation

• Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and sales to integrate product development strategies

• Establish performance metrics, monitor and analyze the performance of the R&D projects

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Engineering or a related discipline

• A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an R&D Director or similar role in the related field

• Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle and project management methodologies

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join a funded research project on AI safety and youth digital well-being in Singapore. The project focuses on designing empowerment-oriented tools that support healthier teen-mobile technology relationships without relying on surveillance, monitoring, or enforcement.
This role is ideal for someone interested in research and design at the intersection of technology, well-being, and youth. The successful candidate will contribute to a project that combines empirical research, co-design, community engagement, and the development of real-world systems.
Role responsibilities
•    Support and help lead studies with teens and relevant stakeholders in Singapore
•    Assist with or help organize co-design workshops and community engagement activities
•    Identify design and technical requirements for the project
•    Contribute to the design, development, and field deployment of a system
•    Support broader research activities, including data collection, synthesis, coordination, and documentation
