Lab Assistant

Job Summary:

• Pay: $12-$18/h
• Location: Loyang Way
• Working Days: Mon - Fri
• Working Hours: 8.00pm – 6.00am (Night Shift)
• Training Period: 8.00am - 5.00pm (1 Week)
• Contract: Until End June (Extendable)

Job Responsibilities:

• Washing and sterilising of equipment
• Testing of endoscopes in cleanroom/lab environment
• Ensure proper handling and hygiene standards
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Perform pre installation and run test of all Ricoh products before delivery.

• Perform software/ firmware upgrading on devices.

• Update devices build configuration of devices prior to delivery.

• Perform refurbishment of devices for future deployment.

• Support indoor devices in troubleshooting, parts replacement, and cannibalisation of parts when necessary.

• Inventory management.

• Perform all daily admin task as require.

• Upon urgent request from the field operation, onsite support from maybe require.

• Ability to ensure completion of jobs within a given timeframe to meet delivery demand.

• Able to work late when required.

• Advice and Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely delivery of devices.

• Carry out duties in accordance with guidelines and policies set by the management

We are a Marine Communication Equipment and Service Provider based in Singapore, providing marine electronic equipment and marine communication integration solutions for offshore vessels arriving in Singapore or around the Asia region.

We are looking for a dedicated Service Engineer (Marine) to be responsible for repair and maintenance of ship Navigation, Communication, Satcom, VSAT/TVRO, PAGA/PABX and GMDSS system. Reporting to the Head of Marine Electronics, and working closely with our business partners, he/she will be involved in the installation and testing if navigation and communications equipment on shipping vessels.

Responsibilities

• Involve in project for installation of marine electronics equipment.
• Liaise/co-ordinate with shipyard for related project.
• Assist in the repair works in the workshop.
• Brief business partners on various navigational/communication system setup.
• Provide technical support for business partners.
• Prepare reports on equipment to business partners.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electronics/Communication Engineering
• 1- 4 years of Marine Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Production, Service, Repair, Installation, FAT, Field Construction, Plant Commissioning, Sea trials, and Inspection of Customer Supplied Product.
• Ability to maintain good project documentation and is familiar with ISO documentation requirements such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work Application requirements and procedures.
• Requisition Key equipment and materials.
• Liaise with customer on the installation requirements such as hot work, welding, carpentry work and running of cabling.
• Inform Managers of additional requirements from customer.
• Ensure that jobs are carried out to meet acceptance criteria as per technical / installation manual.
• Assist in preparing the design, drawing, and documents for Customer’s technical requirements.
• Assist in developing a complete field support process covering all products.
• Identify and record quality problem related to product or service.
• Carry out responsibility of equipment owner in the handling and usage of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Managers and Engineers.
• Authorize the release of equipment to the customer after meeting specified standard in the production, service, repair, installation, and commissioning work.
• Prepare and endorse service report.
• Decide on the location of installation of new equipment onboard vessels or at site.
• Provides and coordinates replies to the technical inquiries with Sales Personnel.

Requirements:

• Nitec in Electronics/Mechatronics and any equivelant discipline with minimum 2 years relevant experience
