Safety, Compliance, & Environmental Management:

- Ensure all UPW and wastewater systems comply with local, national, and international environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Implement safety protocols for high-risk activities, such as handling hazardous chemicals used in water treatment processes.
- Maintain environmental compliance by managing the discharge of treated wastewater and ensuring adherence to effluent quality standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for system design and construction phases.

Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting:

- Act as the primary point of contact for UPW and wastewater systems, coordinating with end user, project teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and present progress reports, system performance data, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure UPW and wastewater systems meet overall project objectives.
- Address client feedback and ensure timely resolution of concerns related to system design or operation.

Team Leadership & Resource Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of contractors working on UPW and wastewater systems.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team expertise in water treatment technologies and system operation.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in UPW and wastewater systems, with at least 3 years in a Waste water treatment role, preferably within semiconductor or high-tech industrial construction.
• Skills: Proficiency in water treatment design software and tools, strong leadership and project management skills, and a deep understanding of semiconductor water quality requirements.

Working Conditions:
This role requires time split between office work for planning and reporting and on-site presence during construction, installation, and commissioning. Extended hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines.

Our client are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support major infrastructure projects in Singapore (LTA / Changi-related works). This role will be based on-site and involves full-cycle contract and cost management.

Responsibilities:

• Administer contracts and manage commercial matters on-site.
• Prepare, submit, and evaluate progress claims to clients and from subcontractors.
• Source quotations, evaluate tenders, and support contract award processes.
• Monitor project costs and liaise with HQ Commercial team on monthly cost reporting.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and required documentation.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams on contractual and cost matters.
• Manage subcontractor claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Prepare and finalise progress claims and project final accounts.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil/infrastructure projects .
• (More experienced candidates will be considered for Senior QS).
• Good understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Familiar with contract law and standard forms of contracts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost management skills.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and cost-conscious.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.

Requirements

Atleast 2 - 3 years of working experience in construction field

Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent

• Monitor construction progress, making sure it adheres to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, local building codes, and environmental laws.
• Perform material tests and structural analyses to determine suitability for projects.
• Identify and resolve issues related to construction delays, unforeseen problems, or design flaws.

Main Duties:

· Oversee construction activities and progress.

· Plan, implement and monitor work schedules with the Project Schedule

· Liaise with Professional Engineer on the works

· Liaise with QP (Architect) for technical issues

· Liaise with Project Designers on approved designs and meet project deadlines

· Liaise with house owners on the ongoing building stages

· Coordinate site activities with subcontractors

· Handling of technical and engineering matters

· Maintain quality standards, carry out site inspections and resolve technical matters on time

· Prepare report and method statement whenever required

· Manage workers and monitor their work closely to keep site safe and neat
