We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze blueprints and technical documents to prepare for quantity take-off and cost estimation (includes materials cost and labour estimates), to ensure quotation is delivered on schedule and within scope.
2. Communicate and coordinate between departments, clients for tender clarifications and vendor for parts information.
3. Check and review quotation and illustrations before submission; to ensure accurate BQ and compliance.
4. Maintain and updating of components price and catalogues.
5. Meet up with clients for tender clarifications, if required.
6. Maintain relevant documentation in an orderly and proper manner.
7. Making recommendations and report to department Manager on any non-conformance of work policy as and when necessary.
8. All foul and undesirable deals and transactions associated with quotation must be avoided and reported to the HOD without hesitation.
9. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Knowledgeable and understanding of single line electrical diagram and symbols.
• Good knowledge of computer software like Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-driven, independent and a team-player.

Responsibilities

• Assist to prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant Qualification in Quantity Surveying / Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in residential and industrial projects.
• Good working knowledge in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) preferred.
• Good knowledge of Singapore health and safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to use software tools for costing and budgeting.
• Organizational skill with attention to detail, adaptable and flexible.
• Good communication and facilitation skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:
•Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects;
•Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs;

Quantity Take-off
•Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations;
•Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments;

Budgeting and Cost-control
•Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle;
•Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures;

Tendering and Procurement
•Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process;
•Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements;

Contract Administration
•Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims;
•Monitor contractual compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project;

Value Engineering
•Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality;
•Work closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations;

Risk Management
•Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues;
•Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success;

Cost Reporting
•Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status;
•Provide analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data;

Collaboration
•Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders;
•Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project;

Regulatory Compliance
•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction;
•Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices;

Ad-Hoc
•Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
•Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To provide necessary support to the field sales team & management for all supply of finish products & supply with Installation projects.
2. Preparation of Quotation- To maintain accuracy on working out of BOQ’s, in tonnage, breaking down of drawings, computation of estimated quantity take off and costing for tender, ongoing projects.
3. To liaise with Main Contractor / Consultant / Supplier . Evaluation of Cost Valuation, negotiation and agreement for binding of contract for all Project according to Local construction Law, regulations, Acts & Practice.
4. To check contract, works order, PO for all awarded projects Compliance to BCA requirements and regulations (Safe keeping of our Company interests).
5. To prepare of Monthly Progress claim / VO and Submit to Main-Contractor / Consultant with Administration task of keeping of documentations & records claim & retention matters.
6. Monitoring of budgeting, Cost Analysis & workflow for all Ongoing Projects.
7. Sourcing of new suppliers, vendor, sub-contractors and awarding sub-contracting jobs to vendor (to coordinating with Procurement Department).
8. To prepare Sub con progressive payment / vendor payment (Coordinating with Accounts Department).
9. To provide necessary documentations for preparation of Shop drawings submission & fabrication drawings compliance to BCA requirements and regulations to Technical Team (to coordinating with Technical Department).
10. Other Admin Works such as maintaining records & filling of all documents.

Job Qualifications

Education Required:

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent

Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably experience in civil/ building projects
• Experience in adjudication and SOP Act will be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office & Auto CAD

Job Description

1)     Assisting in Pre &Post tender quantity surveying administration work

2)     Assisting in Calling of quotations, evaluation.

3)     Assisting in Interviews of subcontractors and preparation of subcontractors’ claim.

Requirements

1)     At least Diploma/Degree in Civil & Building Construction/Quantity Surveying.

2)     At least 2 years of related working experience.

3)     Civil Engineering/Construction knowledge is preferred.

4)     Professional knowledge in quantity surveying administration and construction law is required.

5)     Costing and administration of contracts and taking-off quantities from drawings experience is preferred.
