Job Description

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for project planning and execution
• Manage contracts andnegotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to control costs
• Coordinate with siteteams, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and architects

• Report project costs, forecasts, and financial outcomes
• Handle ad-hoc project tasks as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field with minimum
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively within teams and independently
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Positive, proactive, and meticulous work attitude with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Position : Quantity Surveyor (Construction/ Civil Engineering)
• Location : Location : Tuas South Street (Company Transport Provided - Bona Vista/ Tuas Area)
• Working hours : 5 days a week - 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (Monday - Friday)
• Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $7000 + Performance Bonus
• Duration : Permanent
• Industry : Civil Engineering & Construction

Main Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare cost budgets and estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage all financial aspects of contracts, including progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Track design changes, adjust budget projections, and manage all contract cost reporting to ensure project financial control.
• Administer subcontractor quotations, payments, and variation orders.
• Prepare interim valuations, monthly claims, and ensure timely submission of all variation orders and cost claims.

Requirements:

• At least a Diploma in Civil Engineering or related industries.
• At least 3 years of Quantity Surveyor experience (road work, drain work, earth work, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveyor (ID- Commercial/Residential)

• Prepare cost estimates and project budgets.

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents.

• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing.

• Handle procurement of subcontractors and materials.

• Prepare and verify progress claims and payment certificates.

• Manage variation orders and cost adjustments.

• Track project costs and maintain financial records.

• Prepare cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Quantity Surveyor (Engineering - M&E)

• Cost Estimation
  Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for mechanical & electrical works.

• Quantity Take-Off
  Measure and calculate quantities from drawings and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Tendering & Procurement
  Handle tender documents, evaluate bids, and select contractors/suppliers.

• Cost Control
  Monitor project expenses, track budgets, and manage cost variations.

• Progress Claims & Payments
  Assess work done on-site and certify contractor payments.

• Variation Management
  Evaluate and price changes in project scope and negotiate costs with contractors.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Building, Engineering, or related disciplines

• Minimum 2 years of experience in interior fit-out projects, preferably in commercial building sector

• Knowledge of project coordination, site supervision, and fit-out work processes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (knowledge of project scheduling tools is an advantage)

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
