·       VO Claims - Identify variation works and submit claims.

·       Study Architect Instructions issued and report on time and cost implication (if any)to PM to make the appropriate decision.

·       To assist the team in site coordination / arrange meetings with Sub-contractorsand Suppliers for work progress purposes where necessary.

·       To attend to project / technical meeting and advise PM on cost queries from Owner/ Consultants in order for the site progress to proceed smoothly.

·       Carryout proper and accurate measurement, ie taking-off quantities for claims /payments purpose to ensure no overpayment.

·       Coordinate with the site team to prepare relevant documents for monthly progress report submission, i.e. cash flow, Sub-contractors list, AI list, VO list etc. as required for submission to the Client / Consultants.

·       To work up the final costs of the project and each trades and advise the PM on the final account settlement with the Client and Sub-contractors such that all parties are amiable to the cost evaluation.

The Site Engineer (Building) is responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, if applicable.
• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
• Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
• Ability to identify potential and occurring problems that affect the schedule of works at site and recommend solutions to relevant team / department.
• Ensuring that the site works are completed with high quality standards and adhering to safety requirements throughout the project.
• Able to work after office hours and night shifts when required.
• Able to work on scaffolding and gondolas at high rise building.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
• Experience: Prior 2 years experience in building projects

• Carry out site surveys and measurements in accordance with project requirements.
• Set out works and verify site levels based on approved drawings.
• Ensure accuracy of survey data and maintain proper survey records.
• Liaise with project team and subcontractors on survey-related matters.
• Prepare and submit survey reports and documentation.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned by Management from time to time.
