Assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing daily construction activities to ensure project objectives, quality standards, safety requirements, and completion milestones are achieved.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements, and resolve technical issues in coordination with consultants and relevant stakeholders.
Plan, organize, and establish site operations, including work sequencing, construction methodologies, and resource allocation.
Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate and supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and workers to ensure smooth project execution.
Attend project meetings, coordination meetings, toolbox meetings, and progress review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage the procurement, delivery, and utilization of materials, equipment, and manpower resources.
Review and identify discrepancies in drawings and coordinate with consultants and authorities for timely resolution.
Assist in reviewing Project Construction Plans, site utilization plans, traffic diversion schemes, temporary works, utility protection measures, and construction methodologies.
Ensure compliance with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, LTA requirements, project specifications, and company policies.
Conduct site inspections and monitor quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, utility agencies, and government authorities on project-related matters.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of project documentation, reports, permits, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
Identify potential project risks and implement corrective or preventive measures to mitigate impacts on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
Assist in monitoring project costs, productivity, and resource utilization to support project budget objectives.
Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities upon project completion.
Job Requirement
Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore or relevant authorities.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 6 years in construction supervision of large-scale infrastructure projects
Experience in MRT, railway, or infrastructure projects under the Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be an advantage.
Experience in traffic diversion works, utility diversion/protection works, and viaduct construction will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, quality management, workplace safety regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Familiar with Singapore construction practices, LTA requirements, and authority submission processes.
Willing to work on-site, including night shifts, weekend work, or shift arrangements when required.
