Job Responsibilities

1. Assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager in managing construction projects.
2. Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and clients on site matters.
4. Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly site reports.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
6. Attend site meetings and assist in resolving technical and construction issues.
7. Check construction materials and workmanship to ensure quality requirements are met.
8. Assist in planning manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
9. Prepare and maintain project documentation, records, and reports.
10. Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities and consultants.
11. Ensure works are completed within the project schedule and budget.
12. Support project handover and defect rectification works.

Job Description:

• Project Cost Control & Claims: Monitor project expenditures and prepare submissions for progress payments and variation claims to reflect project milestones and any changes in scope.
• Procurement & Subcontractor Oversight: Source and appoint contractors and suppliers, and evaluate subcontractors’ payment applications to ensure they align with contractual requirements.
• Contract Administration & Final Accounts: Examine contracts for potential issues, compile final accounts, and manage subcontract agreements along with related documentation and communication.
• Claims & Delay Support: Assist supervisors in compiling claims for extensions of time, cost variations, and delays, ensuring all supporting records are complete and accurate.
• Reporting & Coordination: Utilize internal platforms such as OA and SAP to track project progress, and participate in meetings to share updates and provide necessary support.
• Additional Responsibilities: Carry out any other tasks assigned as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Survey or any related fields.
• Minimum 4 years of Quantity Survey experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Prepare of tender documents, cost planning control and budget estimation

- Prepare, review and revise contract terms and conditions

Assist and support Planning Executive to prepare and update project schedule and program at different construction stage.

Duties include:
- Project Schedule: update timeline and milestone using project management software.
- Resource Allocation: estimate labor, equipment & material to meet project demand and optimize productivity.
- Risk Management: Identify potential delays, cost overruns, or safety issue and implement contingency plans.
- Coordinate & Collaborate: Work closely with all parties to align project elements & objectives.
- Monitor & Report: Track project progress, adjust schedule when needed and provide regular updates.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, health & safety regulations throughout project cycle.

Requirements:
- Proficient in Primavera P6
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Min 3 years' experience in related field

Project Introduction

Project Overview (NSC N111 Project)

The North-South Corridor (NSC) N111 project is a major infrastructure development comprising approximately 2.76 km of dual 3-lane carriageway, including 1.28 km of tunnel works and 1.13 km of viaduct structures.

This project offers a unique opportunity to gain integrated experience across both tunnelling and elevated viaduct construction under Singapore LTA standards.

Following a recent extension of time, the project is expected to be completed by end-2029, providing candidates with a minimum of 3 years of stable project exposure.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of of working experience in quantity surveying and bid/estimation process of building construction
• Good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
• Ability to deal with multicultural teams

Duties & Responsibilities

• Taking off quantities, sourcing sub-contractors & suppliers, pricing and preparation of tender submission
• Evaluation of price comparison and costing summary
• Utilizing tools and templates for bid analysis and cost management
• Engaging and managing third party Quantity Surveyor contracts
• Identify Value Engineering opportunities in the design and quantify the savings
• Updating repository for historical data
