We are a growing renovation and construction company based in Singapore, looking for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support our tendering and pre-contract works on a project basis.

Scope of Work:

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings (Architectural / Structural / M&E)

• Prepare and format Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

• Assist in cost estimation for A&A, dismantling, and reconstruction works

• Source and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations

• Support tender submissions and costing strategy

Project Types:

• Landed properties (A&A works)

• Shophouse renovation / reconstruction

• Dismantling and rebuilding projects

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Singapore construction industry

• Strong knowledge in A&A, structural works, and demolition/rebuild projects

• Familiar with BCA / SCDF requirements

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings

• Proficient in Excel (essential)

Engagement:

• Freelance / part-time (project basis)

• Flexible working arrangement (remote possible)

Preferred:

Job Description

• Provide administrative and contractual support and maintain all required project information throughout each project for claim purposes to ensure that the claim data are up-to-date and comprehensive.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foreman to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Prepare progressive claims and potential variation claims at regular intervals of the respective projects.
• Maintaining proper documentation of correspondence from contract award to job completion to ensure all relevant claims are lodged accordingly to the client timely.
• Ensure proper closing-out of project account finalization.
• Ensure proper systematic documentation and filing of all projects' accounts matter.
• Liasing with our overseas suppliers and partners on equipment construction progress and updating management.
• Liaising with Logistics Company to coordinate shipment arrivals and deliveries to site.
• Following up on all tasks till closure is crucial.
• Able to work in high pressure environment.
• Proficient in Mandarin (Oral & Written) and English (Oral & Written).
• Other urgent ad-hoc duties.
