Your Opportunity

Doodle Labs develops market-leading broadband mesh radios. Products include handheld mesh hotspots (Wearable Smart Radio) and tiny embedded multi-band radios for robots (Helix). You will design and develop next generation wireless communication systems utilizing Wi-Fi 4/5/6/6E chipsets and protocols.

Job Description

· Perform detailed radio frequency translation plans and architectures

· Evaluate gain, noise parameters (NF, SNR), dynamic range, linearity, and power consumption analyses to execute a predictable, robust design

· Collaborate with CAD engineers and drive PCB implementation of the design with emphasis on clean power supply design, interconnect design for required EMI and RF transmission performance

· Participate in design reviews and prepare design documentations at every stage of development until the final prototype test and characterization

· Perform parametric evaluation of transceivers, like Pout, IMD/IP3, EVM, noise parameters with spectrum analyser, modulation analyser and perform wireless link level functional evaluation to complete the product characterization

· Collaborate with product engineers for various certification procedures and NPI, followed by the Transfer of Technology (ToT) for large quantity production

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electronics Communication Engineering or Digital Communication Engineering

· Minimum 4 year of experience as a RF system hardware with proven track record of meeting industry delivery standards in the relevant areas

· Good interpersonal and creative skills with the ability to multitask in a demanding and fast paced environment

· Hands-on experience in the design and integration of RF, Analog, and Mix signal blocks such as PA, LNA, mixer, frequency synthesizer, filter, coupler, detector, microcontroller, etc., supplemented with knowledge of specification derivation from system level requirements

· Experience working with basic CAD tools and competence in evaluation flow and operation of appropriate test equipment to evaluate product performance

· Experience in script writing such as Bash, python etc., will be a plus as it is used in test automation

• Assist the project team to complete projects on time, on budget and according to client and authority’s requirements.
• Assist multiple projects concurrently from design stage to project completion under guidance.
• Assist in the production of all drawings development required by the project including Submission drawings, detailed drawings, construction drawing, as-built etc
• Make submissions to authority and ensure all forms, drawings are submitted correct and liaise with authority for all submission matters as required under the supervision of seniors
• Ensure project team’s current workflow practices are in line with company standards and proposed improvements.
• Establish good working relationships with different parties to promote continued partnerships.
• Other ad-hoc activities assigned, such as site visits to understand the relationship between drawings and construction.

Min diploma in architecture and experience in handling design-to-construction phases, along with skills in CAD and BIM software, are typically required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare material requisition lists for job requirements.
• Plan and design electrical switchboards, consoles and control panels according to customer's requirements and company’s standards.
• Prepare approval drawings, shop drawings, final drawings / documents, short circuit calculations, instruction manuals as required for submission to clients and shop floor production.
• Co-ordinate with clients and consultants on the technical requirements. Attend technical discussions with clients and consultants when required.
• Feedback to Sales & Marketing Department on the changes of technical requirements by clients for claims of additional costs and time.
• Check and follow-up on design and shop drawings with production departments.
• Develop and improve on design of electrical switchboards, consoles and control panels. While taking note of quality, standard, cost-effective designs are to be considered.
• Assist and advise Sales & Marketing Department on technical matters, provide technical backup for securing of contracts.
• Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors.
• Follow the procedures of design control, documentation and data control, and quality system of the total Quality Management System 

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering
• Conversant with AutoCAD Electrical / Solidworks
• Training will be provided for candidate with lesser experience
