Role:

• Holds a recognized Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certifications

The Natural Sciences and Science Education(NSSE) Department at the NIE in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Design& Technology (D&T) education (and its related fields) to join its NSSE Department. The Natural Sciences and Science Education (NSSE) at the National Institute of Education in Singapore is committed to discovery and innovation in sciences and science education. Comprising faculty from both science content and pedagogical disciplines, we adopt an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research. Our science education researchers focus mainly on maximising the potential of every child through research on students' learning approaches and problem-solving skills, and work with teachers to develop models of creative teaching and new approaches to learning. Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

Demonstrated expertise in urban development and governance, geo-spatial analysis, systems thinking applied to urban contexts, integrated sustainable design, climate resilience, urban transitions, ecological performance, resource flows, social dynamics and the intersection of design and policy is highly desired. 
The successful candidate will lead urban design and planning studios in the various graduate degree programmes offered by the Department. He/she is expected to bring to the studio an ability to frame problems at multiple scales simultaneously, to work with digital data and spatial analysis tools, and to guide students toward design proposals that are grounded in systemic understanding rather than formal invention alone. In addition, he/she is expected to teach core courses and electives based on his/her areas of specialization, and in accordance with the expected teaching load of full-time faculty.

4. Experience in backend server development and database solutions.
