Job Summary

Provide IT support and maintenance for hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and security. Assist with implementations, user training, and participate in standby support outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, system, server, and network infrastructure issues to maintain operational stability
• Perform routine IT operations including system monitoring, patching, backups, health checks, and tape rotation in data centres
• Support and maintain servers, network devices, firewalls, and security systems, including administering basic Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and create/update documentation such as Method of Procedures (MOPs)
• Provide user support, training, and guidance on IT systems and best practices to enhance user competence
• Participate in rotational standby support and respond to operational needs during weekends, public holidays, and after office hours

Required competencies and certifications

Required competencies and certifications

• Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in IT, Electronics, Engineering, or related discipline
• Knowledge of Windows environments, basic server administration, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi), backup and recovery processes, and IT security fundamentals
• Familiarity with troubleshooting end-user devices, servers, systems, and network infrastructure
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence
• Willingness to access data centres and work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends, public holidays, after office hours, and rotational standby duties

A Junior IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. Key responsibilities include :

- Technical Support:

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems

- Provide remote and on-site support to end-users, addressing their technical concerns and resolving issues efficiently

- System Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and system checks

- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software

Has experience or knowledge on Incident and Problem management.

Health check and monitoring production system and job scheduling to ensure SLA is meet.

Troubleshoot and solve production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack.

Proactively identify bottlenecks in the system and work to resolve these issues before they become a problem.

Continuous improvement of the system, e.g. job automation, performance tuning.

Should be able to identify and fix the bugs.

At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience on troubleshooting the applications run on full stack preferably in Java, Spring-boot, Microservices.

At least 3-5 years of working experience, preferably in Banking or Anti money laundering.

Perform code packaging end to end until release to Production, the maintaining application is done by the Production team

Should have strong hold on SQL server/Oracle databases and able to write/debug the SQL programs.

L3 Application Support Engineer to ensure 24/7 reliability, performance, and security of critical banking applications.

You’ll own complex incident resolution, drive automation to reduce manual toil, and partner with Dev, Security, and Business teams to maintain high availability and compliance.

Core Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

1.
