TheADTS (Application Development Technical Service) engineer will conduct thedevelopment of advanced thermoplastic compounds and masterbatch solutions. Theideal candidate will have strong hands-on formulation experience, solid understandingof polymer processing, and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally tobring high‑performance materials from concept to commercialization.

KeyResponsibilities:

·      Interface with internal and external customersand stakeholders to plan and develop new products based on customer/marketrequirements and company objectives

·      Formulate compounds to meet customers’requirements with respect to mechanical properties, electrical properties,flame resistance, weather resistance, aesthetic appearance, etc.

·      Conduct necessary material testing andevaluation to support product development

·      Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems,and provide technical guidance and support throughout the product lifecycle

·      Explore new technologies and raw materials thatcan enhance product offerings to fulfill customer needs

·      Create and maintain documentation including testingreports, and work instruction procedures for laboratory equipment

• Collaborate with QC and Production teams to support manufacturing trials, product scaling, and quality control processes

Requirements:

·      Minimum 3 years of industrial experience inproduct development of thermoplastic compounds or plastic masterbatches

·      Knowledge of plastic formulation and hands-onexperience in polymer processing such as compounding, injection molding and extrusion

·      Practical experience in polymeric materialanalysis including thermal and mechanical characterization

·      Strong problem‑solving skills, with the abilityto work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

·      Effective communication skills with all levelsof employment both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 quality management system, ensuring effectiveness across machining and sheet metal fabrication processes

• Plan and conduct internal quality audits, focusing on process compliance and effectiveness on the shop floor

• Lead, coach, and develop QA/QC inspectors to support in-process and final inspection activities

• Develop and implement inspection strategies and control plans aligned with tight tolerance machining and sheet metal fabrication requirements

• Interpret complex engineering drawings and ensure proper deployment of GD&T requirements into manufacturing and inspection processes

• Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for new products and engineering changes

• Lead internal non-conformance management, including MRB activities, disposition (rework/repair/scrap), and validation of corrective actions

• Drive structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys) for internal quality issues, ensuring robust root cause identification and sustainable corrective actions

• Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, Cp/Cpk, yield trends) to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure manufacturability, inspection readiness, and quality risk mitigation

• Perform hands-on dimensional inspection for critical and complex features when required

• Drive shop-floor quality improvements, including mistake-proofing (poka-yoke) and standardization of best practices

• Take on additional responsibilities aligned with business and operational needs

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision machining and/or sheet metal fabrication environment

• Proven hands-on experience with GD&T application and CMM inspection (FARO Arm / Fixed CMM)

• Experience handling tight tolerance components and complex geometries

• Practical experience in SPC, FMEA, and structured problem solving (8D)

• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems within precision machining and sheet metal environments

• Advanced GD&T proficiency (ASME Y14.5), with the ability to interpret complex drawings and support tolerance-related decisions

• Hands-on experience with CMM systems, including FARO Arm and fixed CMM, with capability in measurement execution, basic programming, and results interpretation

• Strong understanding of CNC machining (turning, milling) and sheet metal processes (laser cutting, bending, welding, finishing) and their impact on dimensional and cosmetic quality

• Proficiency in inspection techniques for tight tolerances, complex geometries, and formed components

• Solid knowledge of SPC, Cp/Cpk, FMEA, and control plans, with practical application on the shop floor

• Strong problem-solving capability, using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, and quality teams

• Team-oriented, hands-on approach, comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Proven expertise managing OpenShift (OCP) environments in enterprise scale production deployments.
