Overview

The Role

• Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline

• More than 10 years of experience are required in

  • Process industry having technical insight preferably in oil refining or chemical industry.

  • Technical knowledge and experience of project management (in Project Director or Senior Project Manager role), particularly for large, complex projects.

  • Leading local and global matrix organizations, utilizing cross-functional networks to drive high-performance teams and have a deep understanding of how teams form, align, and operate.

  • Cultivating high-performing teams through coaching and effective delegation, while defining clear standards for excellence in project delivery. Proactive risk assurance and quality management, employing "what-if" thinking, cold-eye reviews, and the systematic application of Best Practices and Lessons learned from recent major projects.

  • Navigating extreme project complexity, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing constraints and develop structured, alternative routes for large-scale investments.

  • Project Controls (incl. cost, schedule, reporting and advanced change management processes)

  • Handover & PSSRs (Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews).

This role is responsible for curating a world-class wine selection, driving revenue through strategic planning, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate combines deep wine expertise with strong commercial acumen and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, curate, and continuously refine an innovative and diverse wine list aligned with the brand identity of temper.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, suppliers, and winemakers to secure exclusive and high-quality selections.
• Lead wine procurement, inventory management, and cost control to ensure optimal stock levels and profitability.
• Design and implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue while remaining competitive in the market.
• Train, mentor, and inspire front-of-house staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create exceptional food and wine pairing experiences.
• Engage with guests, providing expert recommendations and enhancing the overall dining experience.
• Plan and host wine events, tastings, and promotional activities to drive customer engagement and brand recognition.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in wine program management, preferably in fine dining or upscale hospitality concepts.
• Recognised wine certification (e.g., WSET Level 4 Diploma, Master Sommelier, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in building and managing high-performing wine programs.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Exceptional palate and in-depth knowledge of Old World and New World wines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
