What you will do:

In this role, you will be instrumental in the ownership, planning, creation and execution of strategic communications and will serve as the communications partner to members of our APAC leadership team, specifically for the Southern Asia and Pacific (SA&P) region, which includes India, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. How you will do it:

About The Role

As a member of the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, you will work cross-functionally to help communicate with journalists and other thought leaders; devise specific communications materials and campaigns; engage in face-to-face meetings with commentators and other opinion formers; and develop print and web-based material supporting these campaigns. • Work closely with the business stakeholders to distill technical concepts into coherent and easy-to-understand communications material, including regular outreach via press that reaches a business decision-maker and developer-level audience. Coordinate these major announcements and materials across Southeast Asia (SEA). 
• Build proactive media campaigns that can work across SEA, highlight the tangible ways Google Cloud benefits businesses, the products and services that solve customer pain points, and the various inspiring range of people on the Google Cloud teams.
• Communicate to mainstream audiences the advantages of Google Cloud.
• Develop and maintain close, productive relationships with teams across Google, journalists, key partners and influencers in tech and mainstream press.
• Manage PR agency partners to deliver quality results that support business objectives.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

To drive this next chapter of growth while honouring our commitment to craft, we are looking for a Communications Design Manager to join our small, committed team. In this role, you will take ownership of our visual identity and creative output, go beyond aesthetics alone to craft thoughtful, evocative and impact-driven design across offline-to-online touchpoints. 

This position reports to the Head of Brand & Growth.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Design Leadership & Cross-Functional Project Management 

• Own and maintain the quality and consistency of all creative output, honouring brand guidelines and raising the bar in overall artistic vision, design standards and its performance.
• Oversee and manage projects to a successful completion, including the establishment and managing of timelines.
• Manage and mentor the design team; improve design workflows and tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Product, Retail, Front of House, Sales & Order Fulfilment) to produce and implement artwork to meet stakeholder objectives.
• Beyond business-as-usual responsibilities, design holistic brand communication strategies together with the Brand team to achieve long-term brand and business goals

2. Print & Packaging Design

• Design and produce on-brand and cost-efficient print collateral for store operations, brand activations, seasonal campaigns, and client requirements
• Ideate, design, prototype and present packaging as needed.
• Prepare FA files and liaise directly with printers and suppliers.
• Provide editorial design and layout as required.

4. In-Store Brand Experience Design

• Conceptualise and execute visual comms collaterals and placements that enhance the guest experience. 
• For seasonal occasions, manage external collaborators and/or work with colleagues to elevate in-store food & merchandising displays, decor and activations that bring campaigns to life.

5.  Content, Graphic Design, & Photography Support

• Plan and create meaningful, value-adding content informed by brand ethos, best practices, and historical performance data.
• Provide design, illustrations and photography from conception to completion as and when required for both print and digital mediums
• Produce product, campaign and digital assets, including the planning and producing of photoshoots, and post-production delivery of images.

Job requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Communication Design, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years’ experience working in a design role, with strong hands-on experience in print design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and In Design)
• Must have a ready portfolio to present; applications without a portfolio link will be automatically rejected.
• Meticulous with an attention to detail.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate priorities effectively

Reporting into the Director, Communications, Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I), and partnering closely with the Principal, Communications in India, this role sits within Nike’s SEA&I Communications team. The Senior Professional collaborates with key stakeholders across Marketing, HR, and other business functions, as well as with communications partners at the geography (APLA) and global levels.

Collectively, the team builds and protects Nike’s brand reputation, engages diverse audiences—from consumers and media to athletes and employees—and focuses on inspiring, informing, and connecting people to accelerate Nike’s growth across Southeast Asia and India.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is seeking a Senior Professional, Communications, SEA&I with deep communications expertise and strong knowledge of the Southeast Asia media, creator, and cultural landscape. A strong understanding of sport—and its influence on sportswear, style, and culture—is essential.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 6 years’ experience shaping and driving communications strategies across one or more Southeast Asian markets. Joining Nike at a pivotal moment for SEA&I, this role requires a self-starter with a proven ability to identify opportunities and translate them into breakthrough communications strategies and tactics.

This individual is a collaborative team player with critical, creative, and solution-oriented thinking, able to manage multiple and competing priorities. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this fast-paced and diverse role, you will develop and execute strategies and tactics that engage both external and internal audiences, helping shape the positioning of NIKE, Inc. across Southeast Asia. You will also support the efforts of the Principal, Communications in India, as required.

You will:

• Craft and execute Southeast Asia–specific mid- and long-term communications strategies, delivering end-to-end project management of narrative-led campaigns and stories that create impact and push the boundaries of communications
• Support global communications initiatives on a day-to-day basis, foster strong media relationships, collaborate with local athletes, build comprehensive 360 media plans, create engaging events, seed product innovations, leverage sports marketing assets, and deliver thoughtful employee communication touchpoints
• Work across an exciting and varied portfolio—including Basketball, Running, Training, Football, and Cricket—alongside corporate storytelling in an accelerating marketplace
• Localize Nike’s voice across markets by working directly on the ground or through agency partners to show up authentically, consistently, and in a distinctly Nike way
