JOB DESCRIPTION
This role supports the delivery of IT projects and services across MMWSS and its business units. The role involves assisting in project coordination, IT operations, procurement, and compliance to ensure technology initiatives are delivered effectively and in alignment with organizational goals. This position offers opportunities to develop technical expertise and contribute to MMWSS’s digital transformation journey.
Project Management
- Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items.
- Support IT hardware, software, and systems maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and timely issue resolution.
- Deliver IT systems, office automation solutions, and end-user device deployment and support for MMWSS and other business units.
- Collaborate effectively with the project team to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
Project Planning
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, evaluation, and contract management in line with policies and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and controls.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and reference purposes.
Project Implementation
- Escalate unresolved issues following standard procedures and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate logs of issues, resolutions, documentation, and prepare timely reports.
- Ensure all services and activities comply with MMWSS policies, procedures, code of conduct, and legal requirements.
Project Monitoring & Review
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or issue, and recommend appropriate corrective actions as needed.
- Provide timely and transparent progress updates to maintain alignment with project goals.
Project Assessment & Analytics
- Manage incident and service tickets effectively through the designated ticketing system.
- Respond promptly to service requests and maintain up-to-date and accurate ticket records.
- Ensure familiarity with the use of ticketing tools and systems.
Project Reporting
- Prepare and deliver project status reports based on project requirements or management requests to support informed decision-making.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education
- Minimum Higher Nitec/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Skills and Attributes
- Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn new technologies independently.
- Basic knowledge of IT operations, systems, and software development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Commitment to supporting successful IT infrastructure and application development projects aligned with organizational goals.
1 year contract, convertible to permanent position.
