The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3/L4) – Network / Security is an advanced, architect-level role across multiple technology domains (Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, Collaboration). The primary objective is to design, implement, and maintain an enterprise network defensive architecture to protect data and infrastructure from sophisticated threats. This role acts as the highest-tier escalation point (4th-line support) to resolve complex operational incidents, ensure contracted client outcomes, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Architecture

• Security Roadmap: Define, architect, and champion the overall network security posture across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments (including Zero Trust and SASE models).

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highlyversatile and experienced security professional to fill a critical leadershiprole. A Security Engineer I is professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining technical security measures, focusing on vulnerability management, threat detection, and infrastructure protection. They secure cloud/on-prem environments using automation (Python, Terraform) and tools like SIEM or EDR, often collaborating with DevOps to remediate security risks and strengthen security posture.

In addition to technical proficiency with relevant systems (such as PMS or Bloomberg), your interpersonal strengths will enable you to build trust-based relationships across diverse teams.

• Hold a degree with at least 2-5 years of relevant experience in back or middle office operations within hedge funds, long-only funds, or service providers supporting these sectors.
• Demonstrate an analytical mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy under time constraints.
• Possess strong communication skills complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities that foster positive relationships with colleagues and external partners alike.
• Showcase experience or exposure to project management or process enhancement initiatives; prior involvement in automation projects would be advantageous but not essential.
• Display familiarity with portfolio management systems (PMS), Bloomberg terminals, or matching systems; practical knowledge is preferred but not mandatory for success in this role.
• Exhibit a collaborative spirit as a dependable team player who also demonstrates initiative when approaching new challenges or assignments.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards learning new concepts quickly while adapting flexibly to evolving business needs within the operations function.
