Position: Conservation Coordinator
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the progress of site works and submissions related to the conservation of historic buildings.
- Track, coordinate, and maintain proper records of RFA/RFI submissions to consultants for review and approval.
- Plan and monitor repair and restoration works of conserved building elements to ensure completion within the project timeline.
- Prepare Method Statements and conduct pre-condition surveys.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and specialists to ensure proper sequencing of works in line with the master programme.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of required materials.
- Attend and coordinate trade demonstrations when necessary.
- Provide regular weekly updates on work progress, manpower, and resource status for the historic building.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction or conservation projects; experience in historic building conservation will be an advantage.
- Familiar with submission processes such as RFI/RFA and documentation requirements.
- Basic knowledge of conservation guidelines and restoration techniques is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic project management tools; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
- Willing to work on-site and adapt to project-based environments.
- Candidates with experience in Singapore projects will be preferred.
