Roles & Responsibilities· To assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in the daily execution of work;· Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards;· Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries;· To supervise the work of sub-contractors and in-house workers;· To work closely with other site operations staff to meet the project schedule;· Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings;· To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers;· Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship;· Attend the daily tool-box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly;· Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
• Construct building frameworks such as walls, floors, and doorframes
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and molding
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
• Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a carpenter in construction
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
• Good physical condition and stamina
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in carpentry
• Experience in residential or commercial construction projects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
