The Management Trainee will undergo a comprehensive training program to gain knowledge and skills in various aspects of management, in various sections with F&B department , Front Office Department and / or Housekeeping Department. He/she will be groomed for future supervisory/ managerial roles within the organization, based on their performance, potential, and aptitude demonstrated during the training period of 12 months.

- Participate in a structured training program designed to provide a broad understanding of the organization's operations, policies, procedures, and management practices. This may involve rotations across different departments or functions to gain exposure to various areas of the business.

- Attend workshops, mandatory training and other in-house learning opportunities.

- Develop an understanding of the organization's industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.

- Assist managers and supervisors in carrying out various projects and initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning, implementation, and monitoring.

- Contribute to data-driven decision-making processes and recommend improvements or strategies based on findings.

- Analyze existing workflows, procedures, and systems to identify bottlenecks or areas for optimization. Suggest and implement changes to streamline operations and improve productivity.

- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, project updates, and recommendations to management and stakeholders. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance of information presented.

- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and colleagues from different departments to accomplish shared goals. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork, effective communication, and knowledge sharing.

- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work in different roles, functions, or departments as part of the training program. Embrace challenges and proactively seek learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Attend to pre-sales enquiries on product availability, lead time and price

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy and sustainability sector. Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company's client base. 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their energy and sustainability objectives. 

• Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing our expertise in energy management and sustainability solutions. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, from initial client engagement to project completion. 

• Utilize knowledge of the Green Mark Certification process to guide clients through the certification journey, ensuring compliance with standards and achieving desired ratings. 

• Leverage expertise in HVAC retrofit to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and recommend appropriate retrofit solutions. 

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the energy and sustainability sector. 

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness and establish industry connections. 

• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. 

• Keep track of the projects in progress.  

Requirements 
 
A successful candidate for this position must be able to fulfill each required responsibility properly. This position requires a good background in engineering, energy, and/or sustainability, as well as a strong interest and motivation in the disciplines of Energy and Sustainability. Success requires the ability to learn new topics and adapt to different environments. 

• Bachelor degree in a related technical subject or in Business (e.g. Engineering, Sustainability, Energy, project facilities management, projects, Building, Facilities Management, Building Services)  

• Familiar with Green Mark Certification & HVAC Retrofit is preferred 

• 3-5 years of experience in delivering sustainability consulting projects, green building projects, or in a related role is preferred 

• ACMV knowledge is preferred 

• Excellent communication abilities, including report writing and visual and verbal presentation approaches, as well as the ability to read and comprehend reports and technical drawings. 

• Interest in energy & sustainability. 

• Interact with multiple groups, such as relevant government bodies (BCA, NEA, for example) or civic organizations and corporate personnel. 

• Explore and introduce new market-available technology and products. 

• Analytical in interpreting trends from data generated from an energy management system and highlighting anomalies in the data 

• Flexible and efficient in problem-solving

Incident Management

• Manage the Incident Management (IM) space, ensuring timely communication and coordination, including coverage outside regular hours when required and as well weekends rotational on call duty
• Oversee and continuously improve the Incident Management process, ensuring it is well-documented, understood, and consistently followed.
• Monitor performance metrics and dashboards to identify and drive process improvements.
• Serve as the escalation point for high-impact incidents and lead Major Incident Management, including formal declaration and activation of the Major Incident Team (War Room/Virtual Command Centre).
• Coordinate resolution/recovery efforts, ensuring efficient resource use and clear stakeholder communication.
• Update and maintain accurate and detailed incident records in the ITSM tool, capturing key events, decisions, and actions.

Problem Management

• Manage the Problem Management function to strengthen ITSM/ITSO practices.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis using methods such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, or Kepner-Tregoe.
• Present the RCA in the PM Review forum and permanent fix and drive continuous improvement of the technology service Operations.
• Train and support members on problem management processes, emphasizing RCA processes & protocols.
• Work with the ServiceNow team to improve the ITSM Problem Management module according to ITIL 4 standards.
• Conduct lessons learned to strengthen prevention and response strategies.

Requirement

• 6 years of experience in the IT Service Management space operating as an Incident Manager or Problem Manager.
• Lead and manage the Problem Management function to strengthen overall ITSM/ITSO practices and enhance service reliability.
• Perform structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using proven methodologies such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone Diagram), and Kepner-Tregoe to identify underlying causes of recurring issues.
• Present RCA findings and permanent corrective actions in the Problem Management Review Forum, driving continuous improvement across technology service operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation of permanent fixes and preventive measures.
• Train and mentor team members on Problem Management processes, emphasizing RCA techniques, documentation standards, and adherence to ITIL 4 protocols.
• Partner with the ServiceNow platform team to enhance and optimize the Problem Management module, ensuring alignment with ITIL 4 best practices and organizational needs.
• Facilitate “lessons learned” sessions following major incidents or problems to strengthen prevention, response, and recovery strategies.
• Continuously review and refine Problem Management processes to improve efficiency, reduce recurrence, and support proactive service stability.
