Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and energetic Merchant Acquisition Executive to join our Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for expanding EPOS' merchant network by actively identifying, engaging, and acquiring new merchants across Singapore.

This is a field-based hunting role that requires frequent physical visits to merchant locations. You will proactively approach business owners, understand their operational needs, introduce EPOS solutions, and drive new merchant sign-ups. The ideal candidate is confident in face-to-face sales, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, identify, and acquire new merchants through active field sales and canvassing activities.
• Conduct regular physical visits to retail shops, F&B outlets, service providers, and other businesses to generate sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, walk-ins, referrals, networking, and market research.
• Understand merchants' business requirements and recommend suitable EPOS products and solutions.
• Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective merchants.
• Negotiate commercial terms and close sales opportunities effectively.
• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting and qualification to onboarding and account activation.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and merchant onboarding.
• Maintain accurate sales records, pipeline updates, and activity reports within CRM systems.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and merchant needs to identify new business opportunities.
• Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales and acquisition targets.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition, or field sales.
• Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and a passion for sales are welcome to apply.
• Comfortable with outdoor fieldwork and frequent face-to-face merchant visits.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven.

Community relations are responsible for managing all community development initiatives throughout Vanguard. This role plans, develop and implement programs to promote community awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize communications strategies during CEE meetings and contribute ideas for internal Vanguard events
• Lead or support to build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, grassroots, schools and volunteers as well as local community leaders
• Effectively develop full range of written materials such as contributed articles and write-ups, CEO speeches, marketing materials and reports.
• Work with healthcare institutions such as MOH, MOHH and AIC on seeking clearance on articles and write-ups
• Work with departments to develop communications / marketing collaterals when needed
• Work closely with the Senior / Centre Manager to develop / strategize engagement programs for residents/clients and promote awareness of Vanguard and its mission.
• Develop a comprehensive outreach plan and publicity strategy for Vanguard
• Participate in the research, writing, and presentation of proposals and reports where required
• Lead and organize internal and or external events for Vanguard
• To track and report effectiveness of our outreach programmes and engagement activities
• To track donations on a timely manner and report to the manager monthly

Volunteer Management

• Work with various departments in Vanguard to manage / execute the volunteers’ framework for Vanguard
• Oversight and keeping track of Vanguard’s list of volunteers
• To conduct briefings to volunteers at commencement of activities
• Develop a feedback mechanism for the Volunteers who have served in Vanguard
• Attend meetings relating to volunteer activities e.g. Volunteer Committee, Public Education, NCSS meetings relating to volunteers’ activities
• Plan regular Support Group meetings and Volunteer Get-Togethers, Volunteers’ Appreciation functions in conjunction with various departments in Vanguard which use volunteers
• Develop relationships with the volunteers/ or their organisations so that a sustainable pipeline of volunteers is created.
• Collaborate with other social service agencies to leverage volunteers pool
• Manage regular reporting and tracking, and report metric
• Donation management – Tracking and responding to donations received for the Home.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mass Communications, or Journalism is preferred.
• Min 1 to 2 years' experience in public relations agency, events company, corporate communications environment or journalism is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply too.
• Have served a stint in a Charity or non-profit organisation, prior experience within the healthcare sector is preferred
• Savvy in design softwares and platforms such as Canva and Piktochart

1. E-Commerce Platform Management

• Manage the daily operations and maintenance of e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, Redmart, Fariprice online and other online marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Event & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate and support the end-to-end planning and execution of internal and external events, engagement sessions, townhalls, awards ceremonies, leadership dialogues, and other organizational initiatives.
• Liaise with venues, event management companies, caterers, and other vendors to coordinate bookings, event requirements, delivery timelines, and on-site arrangements.
• Coordinate logistical requirements including venue setup, registration, seating arrangements, event materials, refreshments, and participant experience.
• Conduct site visits and pre-event checks where required to ensure readiness of venues and event setups.
• Provide on-site event support and assist with post-event follow-up activities.

Participant & Stakeholder Management

Communications Administration

• Monitor and manage shared email inbox, routing enquiries to relevant stakeholders and tracking follow-up actions.
• Support the dissemination of approved internal communications, announcements, electronic mailers, and intranet updates.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to obtain approved content and communication clearances.
• Provide basic formatting and administrative support using PowerPoint, Canva, and related digital tools.

Requirements:

• Diploma or GCEA Level qualification from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3to 5 years of relevant working experience in administrative support, event coordination, stakeholder coordination, procurement support or related operational roles. 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good project coordination, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with experience in managing records, documentation, and trackers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other digital collaboration tools.
• Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar applications to support productivity and administrative work.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes and quotation management is an advantage.
