1. PROGRAMME, EXHIBITION & EVENT MANAGEMENT

1.1 Plan the exhibition coordination as part of the Internationalisation and Regionalisation team, including tracking timelines and milestones

1.2 Prepare budget and secure sponsorship where necessary

1.3 Develop programme/event publicity materials for marketing

1.4 Liaise with all relevant government agencies, and all external partners and vendors to coordinate the exhibition/event

1.5 Be part of the team on-site for shows, in Singapore and overseas

1.6 Liaise with exhibitors for all admin & finance matters

1.7 Manage progress reporting

1.8 Prepare programme/event accounts

1.9 Collate post-exhibition evaluation and/or post-event survey

1.10 Prepare programme/event reports to meet compliance requirements

1.11 Administer the disbursement of grants as needed to exhibitors

2. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

2.1 Provide secretariat support to ASMI Council and relevant Committees

2.2 Provide support to other ASMI events and activities as and when required

2.3 Undertake special projects and ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

We are currently looking for a dedicated Service Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial gearboxes and power transmission products. Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to support customer operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support service operations including overhaul, repair, installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of power transmission products and equipment.
• Carry out disassembly, cleaning, assembly, functional testing, and troubleshooting activities in accordance with service and quality standards.
• Diagnose product and equipment issues, analyse root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions and repair solutions.
• Repair faulty or damaged components through proper replacement, adjustment, and restoration of parts to ensure reliable performance.
• Utilize measuring instruments, precision tools, and inspection equipment to verify components are within required specifications and tolerances.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine care of workshop tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Operate workshop equipment safely and effectively, including overhead cranes, induction bearing heaters, drilling machines, and related machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while complying with company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure service jobs are completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.

Job Requirement:

• Certificate / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Minimum GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in gearbox, gearmotor, or electric motor overhaul and servicing will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of bearings, oil seals, lubrication systems, and rotating equipment.
• Able to use measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge, and multimeter.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings, assembly drawings, and service manuals.
• Candidates with no prior experience but who are keen to learn and work in the manufacturing and servicing industry are welcome to apply.
• Able to perform manual tasks, including handling heavy equipment, in a hands-on and physically demanding environment.
• Candidates who possess a forklift license will have an added advantage (not compulsory).
• Basic English and Chinese communication skills are required to coordinate with team members and support daily work activities.
• Possess good teamwork, positive attitude, safety awareness, and willingness to learn.
• Able to work both in workshop and on-site service environments when required.

• Job Requirements:

• Inspecting vehicles for mechanical or electrical issues and identifying problems using diagnostic equipment
• Performing routine maintenance such as oil and brake changes
• Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective car parts and testing systems after repairs
• Maintaining detailed repair records to support invoicing and customer support
• Communicating with service advisors about diagnosed problems, necessary repairs and repair timelines
• Ensuring tools and work areas are clean, operational and safe
• Keeping up with new automotive technology and repair best practices

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Test Engineer to carry out all the test and de-bug related activities
• Perform hands-on assembly & disassembly of testing equipment/device so that testing activities is in accordance to work instructions, test procedures and work schedule
• Review and clarify test requirement
• Execute testing based on the test cases
• Perform the exploratory test and clarify test procedure when needed
• Perform troubleshooting and identify root causes for the issues and report the defects
• Record and document results
• Analyse failed toner cartridges from customer returns, investigating into specific causes for high failure rates, and finally documenting the finding
• Manage returns of failure toner cartridges: getting them back from the field to the office lab, sending of parts to overseas, paperwork, faciliate customs clearance, etc

• Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant studies
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience in equipment, sub-module and machine assembly will be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
