Senior Agronomist (Singapore)

Reports to:General Manager, Kingenta Asia Pacific
Position Purpose
The Senior Agronomist is the leadscientific authority responsible for the design, execution, and validation ofKingenta Asia Pacific’s crop nutrition protocols. You will lead the LocalValidation Trial (LVT) program to generate the empirical evidence required toprove Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and Return on Investment (ROI) for major plantations.
Beyond trial management, you are responsible fortranslating complex plant physiology and soil science into high-impactmarketing materials. Your mission is to clearly articulate the product's Modeof Action (MoA) and value, providing the "Scientific Proof" thatenables our "Beyond the Bag" value proposition. Additionally, youwill lead regional ESG and Sustainability quantification efforts, ensuring ourenvironmental claims are backed by rigorous field data.
Key Responsibilities
· Scientific Content & TechnicalMarketing Collateral: Translate complex plant physiology and soil science intohigh-impact marketing materials that clearly articulate the product’s Mode ofAction (MoA) and value proposition.
· LVT Program Design &Execution: Lead the regional Local Validation Trial (LVT) program,designing rigorous scientific protocols for high-value segments like Oil Palmand Durian to generate proof of product efficacy.
· Scientific Protocol Development:Create specialized crop nutrition programs (CRF, WSF, and biologicals) tailoredto local soil profiles to unlock the genetic potential of crops.
· Data Translation for ROI:Transform raw trial data into clear, commercially relevant evidence that provesReturn on Investment (ROI) and Economic Efficiency for industrial plantations.
· ESG & SustainabilityQuantification: Measure and visualize data related to carbon footprint reductionand Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE), providing the empirical foundation forKingenta Asia Pacific’s climate resilience pillars.
· Technical Sales Enablement:Partner with the Commercial Product Manager to provide expert-level technicalsupport and presentations for C-suite plantation agronomists anddecision-makers.
· Field Team Training:Train and mentor local sales and agronomic service teams to ensure consistentexecution of trials and technical service excellence across the region.
· Strategic TechnicalIntelligence: Monitor regional soil trends and emerging agronomic challengesto refine the positioning of "Biological Insurance" and specialtynutrition solutions.
Candidate Requirements
· Experience:8+ years of field agronomy experience, with a proven track record in conductingrigorous trials for specialty fertilizers, biostimulants, or crop nutritionprograms in tropical agriculture.
· Scientific Communication:Exceptional ability to articulate a product’s Mode of Action (MoA) andtranslate complex plant physiology into compelling marketing content fornon-scientific stakeholders.
· Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of ESG compliance and sustainability standards, specificallyRSPO for the Oil Palm sector.
· Analytical Skills:Advanced data analysis capabilities, with a commitment to evidence-basedscience and "Beyond the Bag" value creation.
· Mindset:A "Science-Driven" approach combined with the entrepreneurial agilityto operate in a high-growth environment.
· Education:Master’s degree or PhD in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Physiology, or arelated field.
· Language: Fluencyin English; fluent Chinese is highly preferred.
· Mobility:Willingness to travel extensively to remote plantation sites across Malaysia,Indonesia, and Thailand to oversee LVT execution.
