Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for medical research to oversee the development of a novel non-adherent traumatic wound dressing. The candidate will work with a team of business development managers, regulatory specialists, and manufacturing engineers to prepare the product for commercialization. This will involve the robust characterization of the product for its mechanical, biocompatibility, procoagulant and wet adhesive properties, among others. The study will involve a broad range of in vitro testing following industry standards, alongside large animal validation studies (non-GLP and GLP, non-survival and survival). Other duties include the management of the laboratory (safety and logistics), supervision of students (undergraduate and graduate) and contribution to research grants preparation.

Qualifications

•    Possess a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or equivalent.

Job Description

ADVANCE ID is jointly funded by the Wellcome Trust and Singapore institutions including the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Yong Loo Lin School ofMedicine, National University of Singapore. The vision of the Network is to improve public health by developing the clinical evidence base for the prevention and treatmentof drug-resistant infections. Its mission is to build and sustain a strategic clinical research network focussed on most efficiently delivering locally relevant interventions for drug-resistant infections.

The Network aims to improve and strengthen clinical research capabilities in the regionby acting as a platform to develop good principles and practices. It will stabilise capacityand capabilities to mitigate inefficiencies in trial start-up phase and loss of skillset following study closure, as in typical trial setup. The Network will continuously developits capabilities, quality and efficiency by learning from and collaborating with other clinical trial networks.

In the long term, the Network aims to support broader infectious disease studies by expanding geographically beyond its original starting point in South East Asia and collaborating with other networks around the world. It will function as an active networkthat involves patients in platform trials, allowing for rapid clinical research response inthe event of an emerging infectious disease or pandemic threat.

The current lead faculty of the Network are Professor David Paterson (Director) and Dr Mo Yin (Deputy Director). • Extensive Insurance Industry Expertise:
  Deep, hands-on experience across Life and Health Insurance, including direct insurance operations, underwriting, policy administration, claims, and customer servicing. Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, risk and control environments, and operating models across Asia and offshore jurisdictions. Industry certifications from globally recognised institutions (e.g. LOMA, FLMI)are strongly preferred.

• Greenfield and Transformation Leadership:
  Proven track record in establishing and scaling technology capabilities for new business initiatives and large-scale transformation programmes, including greenfield implementations, platform modernisation, and legacy system sunset and migration. Demonstrated ability to balance speed of delivery with operational stability, regulatory compliance, and long-term scalability.

• Technology Engineering, Architecture &Cloud Expertise:
  Significant experience leading enterprise architecture, solution design and systems integration for complex insurance ecosystems. Strong architectural judgement spanning policy administration systems, digital channels, data platforms, workflow engines, and emerging technologies. Deep experience with cloud platforms—particularly Microsoft Azure—and hybrid operating models. Prior hands-on experience in Prudential Systems like Life/Asia implementation is desirable

About The Role

We value the importance of having a robust engineering team that would serve as a key pillar for sustained commercial success. To that end, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join us on this journey. In this role, you will ensure that our pipeline’s key products achieve their milestones from the design and development phase all the way to manufacturing. Your role will involve working with different departments within Vivo Surgical as well as with our external partners such as contract manufacturers, design houses and health systems.

Your responsibilities shall include the following:

• Define project scope, timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Ensure project milestones are met within timeline and budget.

Project Management:
